Yup, people still think that honey is magically beneficial for them, that it's basically all the sugary delight of table sugar without any of the drawbacks. A lot of my elderly diabetic patients think this way. nostr:nevent1qqsfz0t35u4vxq0efdru8v8j92eep39xk8wzgmc4wm2rxyul0p9sw3gprpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuendwsh8w6t69e3xj730qgs28n3mz7xmqvx9hhxa6x48ex53ylktzlck7ld27hvzz6rqkavg60qrqsqqqqqpsr8l3n
The amount of arguments I’ve been ensnared in about honey and fruit are crazy. I really believe it’s the junkie part of the lizard brain defending its addiction to sugar completely overruling the logical part of the brain. Honey provides hardly anything beneficial and it’s a massive concentrated dose of fructose, glucose and sucrose - terrible for the human organism. Fruit provides very little nutrition and the bad (fructose / glucose, lectins, carcinogens, anti-nutrients, & fiber) far outweigh the small bit of bioavailable nutrient. Logically there is no case to be made that these foods are healthy. They just taste good.
Totally agree
Logically? Haha you think you grok the totality of biology and nutrition. Consider increasing your humility ser
You made zero refutation of verifiable information I provided and committed a straw man fallacy. Haha what an ass you are.
Ok simmer down dude. Here’s some literature for your consideration. But beyond some random scientific study, my point is that biology is insanely complex, and a blanket statement against a natural source of nutrition that has been a part of the human diet for eons maybe isn’t the flex you think it is. I’ve found that humility in the face of complexity is always advisable https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC10346535/
Lmao thank you for some official government approved information 😂😂😂 now I know honey is toxic sludge no human should consume. Thank you. I used to think honey was something healthy but the humility I’ve nurtured allowed to contest my beliefs and I learned it is actually just an insulin spike with no real benefit. If you look at the list of government approved “healthy” things you will see a list of things that make you sick. An nih published study is not the flex you think it is.
Where did you learn about this insulin spike you speak of? Sounds scary.

Did guberment funded science tell you about that perhaps?
Even though you’re a full blown retard I’m still glad you’re here. Never give up.
Everyone knows left side of the bell curve is always right. Sun good Flowers pretty Honey tasty

I've been telling people for years that fruit has three kinds of sugar and none of them are scarcely beneficial unless you're literally starving and wasting away. In the Western population, the likelihood of that is so slim its not even funny. nostr:note1aeyud4a4yprxhdew56dxqv3mjqpjjqt9jl0z5hwnume7m8zttu8qnk2jd4
"But it's natural!" As are the majority of the toxins/poisons that exist in this world. Just because it feels good when you first put it in your mouth doesn't mean it's good for you.
That's a very common argument, but knowing biochemistry helps to see the implications. Recently though, I think knowing about quantum biology is an even deeper layer of understanding. I hope to eventually talk about that, but it's a tough rabbit hole.
"quantum biology"? lolwut.
Yeah, I had the same intial reaction haha; but basically we're all electrons, protons and neutrons, so understanding physics helps you understand things at a base layer. Instead of having to wait for randomized controlled trials to "prove" something.
So tired of having people tell me, "Oh, you're diabetic, have you tried honey instead?" GTFOH
Haha so true, if people used a continuous glucose monitor they would see exactly how their blood glucose spikes.
