Is @strike available in Canada yet? Needing to send fiat to someone and exploring the cheapest options. I need them to receive fiat, otherwise I’d just use Bitcoin directly. Strike would be ideal.
no, but mallers did mention canada recently on a podcast or show.
Good to know! That will make my world much more convenient 😂
Only a matter of time before lost of things will be seamless
 💯💜
Could also use Aqua which has layer 1 & 2 and USDT
They don’t use nor understand anything cryptocurrency-related. But good option I’ll keep in mind for other circumstances.
If sending fiat is your requirement, Wise would probably be your best option.
 Thank you 🙏
 Agree.
Ahh I see so you have the bitcoin only and don’t have fiat to your name but your friend needs fiat and in order for you to send him fiat you’ll have to send via strike which isn’t available yet in Canada or send him bitcoin direct which he’ll have to figure out how to off ramp it and sell for fiat

Is that it?
Technically I could do either as far as I’m concerned, but on their end they need to receive it as fiat, so it’s just easier for me to send fiat-to-fiat. A couple people recommended Wise so I’ll check that out.
Sounds good I hope you figure it out boss
 Wise.com
Awesome thank you. I was looking at that just now and wondering if it’s reliable.
Yep it is and your friend doesn't need an account it can hit any Canadian bank
Awesome that’s perfect. Thanks sir 💜
 +1 for Wise

The Europeans I pay at my current job have US Wise accounts so we just transfer them USD like anybody else

Opposite arrangement of what UTXO said but same concept
well @bitcoinwell allows you to send an etransfer to someone. You use real money and they recieve moose sheckels. 🫎
 Thanks! 🙏
 Bylls does etransfer
I see in this only a big opportunity to orange pill somebody.
Send them BTC and they will figure it out how to spend them directly or pay bills with sats. There are many ways to spend sats in Canada.

If that was the situation I’d do that. Unfortunately it isn’t.
push it harder. Make it a conditional acceptance: you take BTC or nothing.
I would do that.
 Lol good luck with that.
Yes, this is how I onboarded many nocoiners.
I told them I do not have fiat money anymore and if they want those money from me, they should accept BTC or nothing (aka HFSP).

In other words...

I hear you. Not an option in this case. Wasting your keystrokes friend.
Bull Bitcoin is the best way to send BTC and have it automatically converted to fiat. I think you’ll need a Bull account and I don’t know if you need to be Canadian to have one (@FRANCIS). You’ll need your recipients email address that is tied to Interac e-transfer at their bank. But once you have that you can send BTC to their email through Bull. https://www.bullbitcoin.com/payments
@BullBitcoin is by far the best option in Canuckistan.
Don’t the CAD homies use Shakepay?
Like many others said, but to reiterate: Wise. Nothing comes even close.

Two snags though:

1. They're firmly anti-crypto. If for whatever reason you want to send money to an exchange, for example, they won't let you
2. Wise US doesn't give debit cards anymore, which is extremely inconvenient

If you only want to do money remittances though, those don't matter.
Thanks! 🙏 Yes in this case I am simply needing to send fiat from a personal US bank account to a personal Canadian bank account. Sounds like that’s the best option.
(Pro hint: plenty of Bisq users like Wise).
NeutronPay is available in Canada, you can send sats and they can receive CAD or sats and deposit to their bank account. I've used this in Vietnam - It is very good 👍
 Thank you! 🙏
