Do you drink the tap water where you live? Public water or do you have a well? Do you know whether or not your municipality adds fluoride to the public water?
I buy water. It's expensive. I drank tap when I fasted 44 days and didn't lose weight. Something's wrong with the water. Virginia, in case you're wondering.
Same. I go through 8-12 bottles of water a day usually. The public water in my town isn't terrible, but it still tastes like more than just water, and I live in a 100 year old building with 100 year old pipes.
Actually 100 year old building sounds cool 😎
Yes, I drink tap water. I'm from Canada. And yes the municipality does add fluoride ro our water. It was up to our municple council to add it or not. DAMN POISON!
we got a berkey to remove stuff, there is fluoride and a bunch of other crap
Those Berkey filters are great.
Big tap water guy, for better or worse
Genuinely curious, what does fluoride in tap water do to the body that's bad? I haven't really looked into it
Fluoride attracts calcium which is why it's good for your teeth. But it shouldn't enter your blood stream. It leads to calcium deposits on the pineal gland in the center of your brain. With fluoride toothpaste easily obtainable there's no reason to drink fluoride. Also there's no medical or scientific basis for medicating a public water supply. For one thing, you can't control the dose. One person drinks ten glasses of water a day and another person drinks one or none. You're giving the same concentration to a 2 year old, a 30 year old, or an 80 year old. Also the fluoride in the water is not the same as the fluoride in your toothpaste. Fluorosilicic acid is a toxic byproduct of aluminum manufacturing.
I will drink the tap if I need to, but have been using a Berkey water filter for about 10yrs and won't go back if I don't have to
The black filters are currently sold out and I am due for a change. Do you know if the other kind, the Ceramic Filter Super Sterasyl, is just as good?
I've never used them and haven't read up on them. sorry but let me know what you find out. It's worth a try. We picked up an extra set about a year ago when we had some spare cash so I've haven't needed new filters for a while. How long have they been sold out?
here's some that are available https://www.directive21.com/products/black-berkey-elements/

Counteract the neurodegenerative effects of fluoride by incorporating lion's mane fungi, and microdosing on mushrooms in the genus Psilocybe, to stimulate neuron growth (neurogenesis). https://image.nostr.build/527dcca42167b9c3fb264993764ca4cd64f78756b2fa5d2705032fd44a977b9c.jpg

I drink the tap water, filtered through a refrigerator filter. Yes my municipal adds fluoride, and chlorine.
Tap water everywhere.👀 @9sirtom5 installed some filter at home, since then the water tastes different.
Tap water. And no. Only chlorine. Lab results showed that the water has only some mineral levels higher then in bottled water suitable for babies.
I’ve heard that they may check the tap water about certain substances but for example such things like hormones don’t get tested. And this seems not too unlogical for me. I let it flow through a filter, a fam of me even build in an Osmosissystem. Tap water could also be viewed as “less alive” than spring water for example. But that’s another topic. 💦
Reverse osmosis is the lowest level of filtration necessary to get rid of most bad stuff in water, but, that's not enough. Distillation and then reminetalization is the only way to get rid of a lot of the stuff that's the worst like synthetic hormones. Berkey lost a big suit. In not sure that they should be trusted to filter out what they claim, especially with their weaksauce excuse that "is too expensive" to do this party testing. They've sold millions of systems, and if they don't have the money to do a few simple this party tests, then they are not a company I would trust at all.
which suit and what was it about?

It didn't really give many specifics. We only had issues once and that was January last year when we bought a new set of the black filters. They weren't filtering and were leaking the filtration media into the water. We contacted them and they replaced them no issues. I need to look into lab checks of the data for cost because I probably should have verified that on my own already. Now I have to go down another rabbit hole. Thanks Beave
Yeah. It's so hard to do all the due diligence one needs to do these days since EVERYTHING is compromised in regards to food, soil, air, and water. Taking responsibility for t failures of others is a long, hard row to hoe, but, I think it might be worth it.
