Reverse osmosis is the lowest level of filtration necessary to get rid of most bad stuff in water, but, that's not enough. Distillation and then reminetalization is the only way to get rid of a lot of the stuff that's the worst like synthetic hormones. Berkey lost a big suit. In not sure that they should be trusted to filter out what they claim, especially with their weaksauce excuse that "is too expensive" to do this party testing. They've sold millions of systems, and if they don't have the money to do a few simple this party tests, then they are not a company I would trust at all.
which suit and what was it about?

It didn't really give many specifics. We only had issues once and that was January last year when we bought a new set of the black filters. They weren't filtering and were leaking the filtration media into the water. We contacted them and they replaced them no issues. I need to look into lab checks of the data for cost because I probably should have verified that on my own already. Now I have to go down another rabbit hole. Thanks Beave
Yeah. It's so hard to do all the due diligence one needs to do these days since EVERYTHING is compromised in regards to food, soil, air, and water. Taking responsibility for t failures of others is a long, hard row to hoe, but, I think it might be worth it.
