Yeah, and this is daily, not even weekly. I think that's just healthy. I don't do social media daily, and when I do, it's nostr or video platforms. In my case, it's just healthy, to not feel the need to check all the time because you've got other important, enriching stuff that sometimes takes precedence.
The weekly trend reflects a 15% drop over the same period. The data comes from nostr.band and active pubkeys are those considered to have a non-zero trust rank which is influenced by nip05 settings from select providers and weights based on those pubkeys events and being mentioned in events.
That's gonna be a mix of people not preferring the platform over alternatives and people preferring to not do any social media for a while. I think those who give up on nostr are simply sorting themselves out. It's a free market for social media. Let them come to us when they are ready. Perhaps onboarding and key management can be made easier in the meantime. I understand Primal is pretty easy.
