 And without looking I could probably guess with a good degree of accuracy which accounts make up that list. They can play absolute mindless drivel and they'll trend. I can only assume that algo is setup to artificially boost them. 

 If you could pay one or more people a few sats to flag notes based on the criteria you specify, then have an algo that boosts or blocks notes based on the flags, would that be of interest to you? 

 I find that nearly unbelievable based on what I see every day on that feed but I'm sure if that was the case you'd be the first to call it out 😂 Even still it's all a self reinforcing feedback loop, from the list of auto-follows during their onboarding, to the suggested accounts in search dialog, to the "nostr highlights" feed, to the trending feed. It does damage to their brand and is a super cringe feature in an otherwise relatively decent client.
