Shitcoins are a scam. Filecoin is nonsense. Don’t know what nexo is and don’t care. All you need to do to determine if something is a scam is to ask one question: can this purported function be achieved without this shitcoin? The answer is always yes. If you get a NO, then you’re just not thinking right. Shitcoins are money grabs at the expense of weak minded or lazy idiots, or other scumbags who wish to enrich themselves while leaving someone to hold their bags.
And filecoin take ages when you send them to somewhere!
So you are agreeing that the use case for #Monero is real? Nothing else can do what it does.
Imterstimgly, by your definition every exchange coin has real value as long as the exchange thrives.
Because you can't use anything else to replace Bin or Cro for example. They have special uses on their exchanges.
Well yes that's also true of eth a lot of the time. I actually hate eth in some ways. It's the most wasted potential of any coin.
It will never be mainstream because ordinary people outside the USA banking system can transfer money cheaper that eth gas fees.
Wise is way cheaper than eth for almost any currency you can think of.
I've softened my stance on ETH somewhat over the year. Has a lot of problems but there is really nothing that competes for smart contracts (something still not completely possible on Bitcoin yet). There is also a subsection of the community that is still truly cypherpunk though they are often drowned out in the noise.
Definitely more centralized than Bitcoin in many respects, but even during mass censorship attempts there are always nodes that will broadcast your transaction.

I agree with all that but I just can't understand how something as obvious as Gwei became the problem. It's like it was actually designed for rich people.
It's never again going to be viable for ordinary people to transfer small amounts of ETH between private wallets.
That's inexcusable to me.
have you tried arbitrum, and if you have and you still have misgivings about it, do you think those are permanent?
