I agree with all that but I just can't understand how something as obvious as Gwei became the problem. It's like it was actually designed for rich people. 

It's never again going to be viable for ordinary people to transfer small amounts of ETH between private wallets. 

That's inexcusable to me.  

 have you tried arbitrum, and if you have and you still have misgivings about it, do you think those are permanent?
