Fundamentally we should not rely on "founders with power to push back". Consider what happens when they fail at doing so. Or just don't feel like pushing back. nostr:note1faymrczpf475gr96fxwazspk9h0us9dkfjejvn554ytrwl43lp4q5qg07m
Or pull a Hanlon's Razor. Power always blinds and corrupts.
It might, be Musks narcissism and messiah complex probably predates his power :-)
this: it's always a temporary situation when it hinges on one person, or a certain culture among those in charge, we've seen it so many times that that just won't stay

in a business there will always be reversion to the mean: mostly likely, the next CEO will only be concerned with profits, any activism will get demoted to marketing slogan

(even ignoring that Musk's "freedom of speech" is very one-sided and fragile, he was censoring the word "cisgender" side-wide just shortly ago ffs)
remember Google removing their "don't be evil" commitment , that was quite the rug pull

 DIY hardware stack FTW
Eliminate all single points of failure such as "founders with power to push back"
Just to clarify to any spooks reading alongs: I'm not in favor of eliminating founders :-)
Not existing ones 🤣 the goal is to not create new ones whenever possible
Or when they get a seat at the regulator's table. Agreed Parker is way off base here.
