“Daaaad, we’re out of cereal!” Yea we’ll we’re gonna stay out of it for a while. 🤣 https://image.nostr.build/7a295b56d15f7f3dd017664eaa11a9c8a4961e886e0dc16a2660852a633ede6c.jpg
Cereal is insane these days, i saw the fancy brands are up to like $10 a box 🫨
I went to get Cinnamon Toast Crunch the other day and it was $8 a box for family size. Same box would’ve been like $5 a year ago 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ They had a “Minis” version that was BOGO that I got instead. I couldn’t believe it though.
Easy bruh, the gov says cpi is 8%… not a penny more. And they’re never wrong.
bro $8 for cereal? i've been gone a long time. next you'll be telling me they got rid of the dollar menu
Dollar menu isn’t completely gone but the options aren’t pretty 😅 Took a road trip with my family and a quick stop at McDonald’s was over $30 for just me, my wife, and our 2 small kids. Blew my mind.
Same
If you're willing to use the app, there's usually a 20% off coupon in there. Basket of fries is another good option for families, where it is available. But you're right, not a lot of value in the value menu these days.
I haven't been back to McDonald's and I miss hamburgers. Still shopping at dollar stores surrounded by cops
McFleeced
"OK kids, I've done the math and *this* morning you get THIRTY-SEVEN Honey Nut Cheerios--EACH!" *much rejoicing*
Fasting is going to become very popular.
Haha maybe I nflation is gonna deflate America’s obesity problem. 😂
I suspect it ends in riots & looting rather than 6 pack abs unfortunately. Fear of not being able to feed yourself can drive some very undesirable behaviours. It's pretty hard to fast when you're stressed.
Unfortunately you are probably right on that 😢

stop at Taco Bell because their $1 & $2 items aren't bad and since I'm freaking old, over 40, free drink
According to the anthropologist Dr. Staffan Lindeberg, who studied the Kitavans in Papua New Guinea, sweet potatoes made up about 70-80% of the Kitavans' diet. Probably cheaper than a McDonalds diet, and the photos of those guys (surprisingly to me) showed they were super healthy No I'm not a vegan Just pointing out that there are better cheaper options to get by on I stopped trying to grow wheat for myself when I realized I could get by on tubers. My life got soooo much easier
