Nostr is great because you can take a break and come back and the people that chose to follow you still see your posts no matter how long you were gone. I believe that this is just better for mental health.
The way that corporate tech algorithms work you basically have to be feeding the algorithm constantly to be seen be a small % of your followers. It’s not realistic unless posting on social media is your 7 day a week, 12 hrs a day job.

That is so true! On other platforms, if you don't even interact with a couple of friends the algo will bury them.
That’s partly why on X there are very few accounts who drive the conversation. The folks that post consistently about trending topics are more visible. That doesn’t mean that those who are posting constantly have the best information or are particularly skilled in anything outside of posting. The main goal is clicks and advertising revenue not truth and the sharing of factual information.
The incentive structure is horrible.
Absolutely spot on there, such models are as devoid of Empathy as the Fiat Currency they chase.
To be fair, X has also Following tab, stripped of other algos (?). Personally I only use that tab.
