Oddbean new post about login | logout #Nostur keeps broadcasting my notes to relays I do not have setup. I turned off everything, autopilot relay hits, all of it. Still it connects to other relays and sends them notes.
What makes you think that? It will only send to relays where you have “Publish to this relay” enabled

Could be your post being spread by others and then you receive it again from those relays, the label “Sent to” is a bit unclearq
But I don’t have those relays. My client shouldn’t be able to know it’s spreading, I’m not connected to those relays. I’m posting to a relay no one is connected to it but my self. And I am not connected to these other relays, so even if by someone rebroadcasted my note, my client shouldn’t be able to know that it is spreading. No?
Odd, in Settings -> Configure your relays… you don’t have any of those relays connected or with the up arrow icon?
I appreciate you’re saying this in a negative sense, but isn’t that a good thing? It allows your followers to see your posts more easily and it increases your discoverability.
Oh, not saying it neither positive nor negative way. Just pointing out my experience as is. No, not a good thing. At least to what I’m trying to do. I don’t have followers. I am trying to share my thoughts to the world. I just want to send notes to my self, to my own relay. Like a private journal.
