It's the only social media I use (if you exclude YT). Instagram and Facebook are data harvesting machines that I don't want to feed. Twitter's algorithms are too addictive. And they are, because they tap into negative emotions. I didn't feel good about using them. So there is Nostr. It's interesting and new. I like the idea of decentralised social media and open source stuff. And I really appreciate the lack of horrible algorithms. I also like to sweat sometimes and appreciate to not get punished for that. And last but NOT least: we are beaming the hardest asset/money ever known to mankind through space at the touch of a button. Oh, and Udi Wertheimer isn't here. Thank fuck!

oh yeah, that anxiety about getting banhammered or cultshamed... i've said some pretty daring things on numerous occasions on nostr and a few funny reactions but not the kind of cancel gang situation i'm used to from anywhere else... it is like the old days of phpBB and Simple Machines, before the facebook and google machines started up... oh, you could get into a little bit of trouble being controversial but it was not the same cult drone army situation anyhow, even if mister sunglasses shows up to try and influence his flock of drones here, i doubt that anyone not interested in his nonsense will even hardly hear about it i think that the cult leaders know that they don't have a big cult leader behind them to back them up here, that's why they are so scared to come here
