Freedom to get rekt.
If you want to potentially pay outrageous on chain fees due to a stuck zap to @ZEUS - you can go right ahead. It's in the admin section of the settings.
Invoices and lightning addresses were always allowed, it was just zaps, which are typically low in value and are done without the user knowing they're potentially paying a hodl invoice. This is also wasteful to the network from a locked htlc perspective.
This was never a hypothetical situation, there has been many instances of this happening to our users since Zeus Pay, and with on chain fees being really high, is not worth making small payments that get stuck. But if you want to do that now, glhf.

Freedom often has that risk. You've done what you can, now it's time to let the dominoes fall and see what shakes out.
I recently had two forced closed channels. I wonder if those because of this issue.
Respect to hearing the outrage and responding with an option at least. My guess almost no one toggles it on. Force closes suck. I can understand why Mutiny wants to protect its users from that shit experience. Look forward to competitors to Zeus on the self custodial mobile lightning address front that maybe breaks things a little less. Something good will come of this.
Forced channel closings can be excellent teachers.
Yes but for some reason the only teaching slogan that comes to mind in this high fee environment with a force close is "have fun staying poor" 🤣
Some plebs just wanna watch the world burn
User choice is a good thing 🤣
