If I can recommend you something. Alan Moore, the comic book writer that made the watchmen. He's a magician and he has a couple documentaries about it on YouTube. But you should buy the 3 part book called Promethea. It's not explicitly a step by step guide to magick but it explains the themes and mechanisms pretty well. Also look up the psychonaut field manual. Which is free download

Oh well. In general all of life you kind of have to roll with the punches right? There's not really anything wrong you can do. Because there's an argument to be made free will vs determinism yadda yadda BUT The key is if you notice the pattern then you're learning. And you can be more analytical in what you do. Notice the pattern, and decide if you want that outcome or if your life needs a change. Half the time it's messages from God or the universe or whatever you want to call it, like I get angel numbers CONSTANTLY. I choose to notice it. Then take a moment and think about what I was doing or thinking in that moment. Like if I'm out I'm like like dammmmnn that tattoo girl is fucking banging then I see 5:55 (change) I'm like oh yeah... My ex was smoking hot but ended up having all sorts of issues. Maybe I shouldn't go after people who whose outward appearance almost screams issues right to begin with. 🤷🏽
