Alan Moore, the comic book writer that made the watchmen. He's a magician and he has a couple documentaries about it on YouTube.

But you should buy the 3 part book called Promethea. 

It's not explicitly a step by step guide to magick but it explains the themes and mechanisms pretty well. Also look up the psychonaut field manual. Which is free download
