Just back “on grid” from a couple of days hiking/camping with my boys. Grueling but so worth it. https://image.nostr.build/9af0be517f86185031ea7e307d419a765fb4821c4cd297779ae644e73d07ad42.jpg
Few activities make me feel more alive than camping
To me, that’s one of the most enjoyable thing to do for a dad/kidz! Wish I did it more!🙏
Awesome!
That place is majestic looking.
Looks amazing ! https://m.primal.net/KSkk.jpg
Any man who goes camping with his boys deserves a zap.
🙏
What are the main dangers of hiking and camping over there? Bears?
Bears are around but generally stay clear. Bigger danger is from falling or twisting ankle.
It’s sad that a family can be torn apart by something as simple as a pack of wild dogs.
Not sure if all here recognize the Jack Handy reference, but as someone who loved “deep thoughts” ….I do.
Do you carry firearms with you when you hike in places like that?
Not here (bear spray) but in some regions - yes.
absolutely breathtaking! I have skied Vancouver BC..but never seen the BC mountains in the summer..wow!
Welcome back. Looks beautiful!
Beautiful! Where was this taken?

Very cool. Thanks for sending this. Hope you enjoyed.
Looks beautiful. Glad you could unplug!
spending time with the kids in the nature it probably the most bounding and healing thing b die can do as a parent. love it💪🔥😍
Life-changing nature pics NEVER come out this great for me. This is amazing.
Nice dinosaur in the background....
how many miles was the hike?
Just over 21 km according to my watch with elevation gain of 1900 metres. https://besthikesbc.ca/hiking-mount-macfarlane-in-the-fraser-valley/
Nice... I take it that wasn't all in one day? I think 13 mile full 60lb pack was best I did. And it was a rough trip for me. LOL
Did it all in one day a couple years ago, but this time went with my boys to summit and then camped for a night at the lower lake. You’re right about the weight of the pack!!! Felt like doing 750 reps of leg presses or lunges…😂
Crazy in one day? Thats insane... I would have died fell over if I made it at all. LOL Getting to old. Ever do a place in Appalachia called rocky top? Step on the rocks they roll and no way around. It was the first time I was out and it destroyed my feet with tennis shoes on instead of hiking shoes. Felt like I should sizzle when I got to the creek. LOL
Nothing like Nature and its pure, raw energy.⛰️🍃🌲🍄🟫🪵🌾
Heaven. 🧡
