 There’s not so much BTC that it’s unavoidable.

Create your crew, follow the non BTC.

Also, it’s up 3x this year.

Why would BTC content ever bother you given what it’s doing for the world? 

 I like bitcoin. I don’t have a problem with bitcoin. I’m not obsessed with bitcoin. I follow non bitcoin content. I can hear about bitcoin as well as other topics of interest elsewhere. I like the people here. 

 Cool, but you say it’s not enough to keep you around, which is fair.

But, if you believe in Nostr then it’s also your responsibility to provide content that you wish to see in the world.

What do you want to see on Nostr?

Create that, and breathe it into the universe. 

 It's ok to unfollow people who post too much about one subject. I've unfollowed a lot of people on here because they just keep repeating the same mindless nonsense about Bitcoin and never have anything of substance to contribute. Seeing hundreds of posts that all say "stay humble and stack sats" is tiring, especially when these people are failing at the stay humble part of it. The bitcoiners I still follow are those who contribute meaningfully to the discussion. (There are still things to discuss and hash out in this subject). 

But I also follow a quite a few people who rarely or never write about Bitcoin. They're on here. It's hard to explore and find people. Discovery is still a problem that needs solving on Nostr. Both the protocol and the apps you're using to interact with the protocol are in active development.  

 I wouldn’t unfollow folks. That’s their thing and I respect that. I’d just leave. 😂 

 I recommend that you do. Nostr is an information fire hose. You got to filter that flow of information or it can be overwhelming.   

 You could try using Listr.lol to create your own lists of people.

Depending on your client, you can then use these lists to filter content by just them. It would allow you to back off from Nostr without completely forgetting about us.

It is early on here & you're right, most of us are pretty obsessed with the freedom money.

It would be sad to see you go 🧡

 If you are tired of btc talk there are some clients that will automatically filter out words or phrases you dont want to see from your feed. Helps with spam, but also helps you see the non btc stuff from users you already follow. 

 I’d do that. I should have done that months ago. I just didn’t know.

 Someone always has to be first. Nostr's first community is Bitcoiners. Another community will be second. Maybe it will be musicians. Maybe it will be freedom loving yet oppressed people that need Nostr more than most. Who knows? All I know is given enough time, Nostr will succeed, because it has to and we have some of the most intelligent and passionate people pouring their souls into making that a reality. 🫂
