While delivering mail to one of our neighbors today (our mailman frequently gets things in the wrong box), I discovered why my sweetie’s mail went missing for a few months. Said neighbor had received some of our mail, wrote “not at this address,” on the mail, and put it in the outgoing mail slot.
Our mailman decided my sweetie no longer lived at our address and started returning *all* her mail to sender. Took 3 months to get it sorted out, and now our mailman is training a replacement. Oh joy.
@d86237d2 ugh! It’s such a pet peeve of mine when neighbors don’t just, you know like, talk? Or take a few minutes out of their days to walk over.
Good on you for doing that though.
@d86237d2 Oh what a mess.. I kind of understand why the mailman would think that she no longer lived there if the mail for her were marked “not at this address”.
But speaking of mailman (or mailperson?) our current one is at least the third one in less than four years..
