This is a must listen to anyone wanting to monotize social media 😇 Jim Rutt may even have you on as a guest if you really like to tumble 😁 https://fountain.fm/episode/1rfayXD58B1dhiRiY8Z6
Do you have public thoughts on this self interview? Have you researched other applications that are in your space? Nextdoor is slightly useful for neighbors, however it is hard to get people to stop using X or Facebook...
I just listened to the episode. I agree with some of his thoughts but having a concrete set of rules that are cited when you violate one of them is just unsustainable.
Citizens is a lost cause, my friend.
Anything is unsustainable if you dont monotize it. Monotizing things isnt bad though. Creating a social media platform or app takes work, a lot of work. Advertisements per user is like $1 per day for 100 Million daily users...$2 for Billion - and getting those users to be active daily is an entirely different problem. Jim Rutt hasnt released his own platform yet he has just been around for a long time working in the space.

Glad you listened to see the insights, also glad to be on the journey with you and your lady 😇
Coming up with the codes is unsustainable. Everything other than real crimes is purely subjective to whomever is creating the code of conduct. I just see that turning into a neverending game of whack a mole. Especially if the government starts to apply pressure.

Removing the algorithm and giving the individual the ability only see what they want and filter everything else out means that each individual is creating their subjective own code of conduct without everyone else needing to know what it is. You can post whatever you ridiculous incendiary thing you want but I don't have to see it.

Currently on Nostr I would see it at least once and maybe I block you. nostr:nprofile1qqs0xgvyaeact5khdrllmk7r936mhmtdjt3d6sm3g2h4c5qgd5wp00cpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsaja085 is taking a different approach. With our design, there is a strong possibility that I would never see your post even once unless I had added you to my "block" or my "neighborhood" or I am visiting someone else's "neighborhood" who you are a part of.

In the first to scenarios, I have total control of what I see, but when I am visiting someone else's neighborhood, I have no control over what I see. I'm just a visitor who can leave if I don't like what I see. If it's a crime report it to the police. Anything else and you can just go back to your neighborhood or block.
