Coming up with the codes is unsustainable. Everything other than real crimes is purely subjective to whomever is creating the code of conduct. I just see that turning into a neverending game of whack a mole. Especially if the government starts to apply pressure.

Removing the algorithm and giving the individual the ability only see what they want and filter everything else out means that each individual is creating their subjective own code of conduct without everyone else needing to know what it is. You can post whatever you ridiculous incendiary thing you want but I don't have to see it.

Currently on Nostr I would see it at least once and maybe I block you. nostr:nprofile1qqs0xgvyaeact5khdrllmk7r936mhmtdjt3d6sm3g2h4c5qgd5wp00cpz4mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduhsaja085 is taking a different approach. With our design, there is a strong possibility that I would never see your post even once unless I had added you to my "block" or my "neighborhood" or I am visiting someone else's "neighborhood" who you are a part of.

In the first to scenarios, I have total control of what I see, but when I am visiting someone else's neighborhood, I have no control over what I see. I'm just a visitor who can leave if I don't like what I see. If it's a crime report it to the police. Anything else and you can just go back to your neighborhood or block.
