Really love some “hard”, or at least rigorously collected, data showing that Bitcoin is not just for the librarian (3% of libertarians), carnivore, gun toting conservatives, but that it is not owned by people who are yet to learn about it.
I love that those who dislike #bitcoin tend to be those that don’t understand it, or have chosen this lack of understanding as something to focus attention against and manipulate (e.g. EWarren).
When someone REALLY doesn’t like Bitcoin, check their history, check their motives, and then think “is this the person I should be listening to” then continue your learning. I’d love to see if there is data about whether Bitcoin ownership is related to being inquisitive, have an appetite for knowledge and question the world around you. Not enough attention on government spending and debt, in my opinion, some interesting stuff on the “black box” of productivity improvements, but mainly suggested the need for more growth to fix everything. Have a feeling the presenter was potentially inclined towards the Keynesian end of the spectrum.

I fully accept $mstr is a shitcoin and @saylor has some issues to address (it is “peer-to-peer electronic cash, it is not only “property”, time for school bru), but given I can’t hold actual coin in my pension, Friday pumps like this at least give the potential for me to retire, while leaving my #bitcoin stack untouched (but still using to buy products and services that a too valuable to be priced in fiat) and ready to transfer to the next generation.

The RH Rachel Reeves is also proposing/ threatening an upping of cap gains tax. Taxing those people attempting to improve their lot in life by taking a risk to escape fiat debasement.
