@NEW1 2 unwatchable ads with the audio turned off until the screen flashes properly in the background + my peripheral vision picks it up! #bathroomtrip
@29940347 How many years of coal are left? -20 years of anthracite coal I understand. Th eknown remaining coal supply is a lil dirty, but otherwise ok I guess.
@29940347 Honesty is the best policy after seeing so many birds of a feather, flock together!
It's #neurosis. Any country that destroys statues, burns her books, changes street names is not confident; is neurotic.
Places you want to be have (a) great weather and (b) very little nonsense.
@682494d6 Kinda knew from the beginning not to give openai any cash. Lots of alternatives coming online tho' Microsoft is winding up a pretty big mousetrap.
Ample Computer has nothing it seems. Kinda-amazing.
@5fa039c3 Guy at the grocery store was wearing petchuli oil. Maybe he had a distillery in his pockets I dunno.
Was making me sick so I put my cart between him and me so he couldn't get near the checkstand 'til I left!
@1c9d9207 Yeah Keene is British, really, and views "the mother market" as fucked, taking refuge in the US market. Not uncommon.
I think longterm the US is in good shape... just need to eat some pain for awhile.
Pain. I dun'wanna feel pain tho! Am better off than last year but still not where I want to be back where I should be (after building a house)
@87f131a8 Is that one of the getty images you have to pay $1,000 to use in print?
Suspect I was bidding on a photo against one of these guys- they buy on eBay and wherever else they can find classic photos etc.
@2233b35c I went to a concert in Nashville once live band and stereotypical drunk guys yelling "MORE REVERB!" as if the reverb wasn't turned up enough already.
Same with this song I wanna scream MO' REVERB!!! For no reason.
@6cfde172 Cali has everything imaginable for when the feds need it (lithium to gold to diamond to ruby to silver etc).
It's not like we're gonna run out the geologlists know where all this stuff is.
Anywhere on the Franciscan Complex is worth digging+drilling for the high-pressure stuff since the Juan De Fuca collided hard in the region.
However, nobody does.
Nevada's good coz (a) noone cares about it and (b) the feds have or can take title easily there.
We will never run out.
@55b3f2a1 A kinda bright teacher in college taught us that the east coast might not be a great place to live, based on what appeared to be weather cycles that repeat on a "Roanoke" type basis!
He said the early settlers really got screwed by arriving just at the very worst part of the ~half-millenium weather cycle there.
Hey I replaced a toilet flapper in my toilet coz it wasn't making a seal. I got the same exact part brand new and replaced it. But now water flows more freely through the flapper, even tho' it pretty much looks like it should seal.
Any ideas? This is a new toilet... three years old.
Whereas my old toilets never broke ever I realize the new ones break all the time. Because I was using toilets from the 1980s, I've never had a problem before. Ergo... no experiences fixing toilets!
@c8ef4612@a20c0803 I don't have the articles handy was hoping someone would post it.
Owners of the jab change o'er time simply coz it's mostly about 'point-men' who took resp for getting it out of the labs. The point man changes depending on what moment in time you're inquiring about.
But there was one guy credited with pushing the jab out there, who was a young-ish scientist + got credit for doing so at the time the RNA jab was intro'd. Also refined the process for Covid as I recall.
@a20c0803 The guy who was initially credited with the 'RNA mode jabber' had been sitting on it for a few years. I believe the first one was prepped for use on SARS but was too late.
So he was pretty much ready- took his team only a few months to develop it.
Apparently, it worked for awhile... on the alpha variant. It _might_ have worked if applied early enuf + if anyone who didn't want it just stayed home until it blew over.
A month of staying home really would have been fine w me.
@a20c0803 If there really is a conspiracy what they're gonna do is get conservatives to sign off on not getting shots anymo'...
Then the next 'flu' will really _require_ a shot and none of us will get it ==> we'll be dead and their political problems will be over.
A very urgent sense of irony in that plan I have to say.
@e7cebe76 San Mateo is as I said tho'... awersome but not enough space for everyone. The little tendrils of land that go into the hills with small neighorhoods on 1/2 -1 acre lots stand on some of God's best work!
@c45edd90 Tesla has invented a self-sabotaging design. So you can't count them.
The Toyota Pry-us Pry-me is half-electric/half-gas it is a very complicated machine.
However it gets 105+ mpge and they go 350,000 miles apparently w/out servicing (other than that people forget to clean out the filters).
There won't be a better car in our lifetime.
@3a92a9b1 You're a little late. I think that story already broke. Sounds familiar.
There is a nut-shional nuke test warning nationwide tomorrow at 9:30am PST mebbe?
(This is the US govt's memo telling you to stock up / empty the store shelves immediately)
@8853cd19 it's so cold there ohhhhhh myyyyyy goodness gracious! You don't wanna live outside in Vancouver those guy if ur dumb enuf to live outside try Californie!
