Donald #Trump arrived at a New York court today for a fraud trial that could see him paying hundreds of millions of dollars in damages.
He's accused of using false financial statements to make himself and his businesses wealthier, helping him broker deals and obtain financing.
โThis is the single greatest witch-hunt of all time,โ Trump said as he headed into court, and said the case was being overseen by a โrogue judgeโ.

Just what happened to fashion shows?
The plan seems to be to come up with the most bizarre thing possible - I really feel for the models who have to walk up and down in these things. And it's getting stranger day by day.

Whoa. It seems not having vowels helps me. (Did I just void my vowels?)

I dreamt an entire two storey house was emptied of everything except light blue shag pile carpet everywhere. Remember shag pile? What was the point of it?
And here we go again. The car is back in the garage, the same one as last time, to deal with the oil leak, the engine light being on and the handbrake...and who knows what else.
These are problems the car didn't have when it went in last time... when we had to wait nearly two months to get it back, and pay over a thousand pounds for it.
I do not believe this! Hubby got the car to the garage, having arranged for a friend to drive him home, and they arrived to find the garage locked up and nobody there!!! Two wasted journeys. Unbelievable.
The mechanic turned up shortly after they arrived, (and in response to a text message to him??) so at least the wait wasn't long. BUT it does look like we've lost the car again for a week (or more???) Let's wait and see.
@c280a324 I think so - same with the plan to "get homeless off the streets" to make himself look better, not to offer help to the homeless. That's my guess.
If Trump wins the election, this is what he will do:
Part One.
* Investigate/jail Biden
* Fire Civil Servants
* End gender-affirming care for minors.
* Bring back death penalty
* Bomb Mexico to stop drugs
* Use National Guard against drug gangs
* End birthright citizenship
* Bar "Marxists" entering the U.S
* Force homeless off streets
* Bring back mental asylums
* End racial equity programs
* Get more presidential control
Part Two
* Investigate pharma companies
* Re-evaluate NATO
* Downplay Russia as a problem.
* Set up import penalty on most products
* Phase out Chinese imports
* Remove the U.S. from Paris climate accord
* Complete border wall with Mexico

@a3976b27 And there are MANY more series that are no longer free on Amazon and come only with a subscription to Paramount (or maybe others as well.) I'm not paying twice. What's the point of paying for Amazon Prime if I could get it on Paramount anyway?
Do any of you subscribe to Amazon Prime and therefore watch video series and movies there?
Well I haven't been there in a while but I used to watch cartoons etc... I just went to see Lower Decks new season and to my disgust everything now is "subscription" to Paramount - seven day "free trial" after which it auto renews to ยฃ6.99 a month... hang on, we are already paying Amazon to watch videos!!!
Everything in my watchlist is now by subscription, or "free with adverts".
I'm furious.
@76469d6c That would have been nice any other day but this, however I am suffering aches and pains in my legs and hips from doing all the work in the garden yesterday. I feel about 100 years old today, I'm hobbling everywhere and groaning. :)
@76469d6c I use CPAP for sleep apnoea so that's already taken care of. But as far as getting any medical help these days in the UK, you have to be at death's door before they notice.
I don't understand.
How can I have a broken night, sleep (badly) for six hours and feel normal and awake the next day......
BUT when, last night, I slept well as far as I know, no interruptions, eight hour's sleep, and got up at 7.30 and now feel as tired as can be.
The difference is inexplicable.
Sycamore Gap: Police search home of 69 year old former lumberjack as they probe felling of 'iconic' tree. Theories abound but nobody is sure of the motive. It may have been someone with a grudge against the National Trust.

@80f2f770 At the moment nobody knows why it was done, or who did it. They just turned up in the middle of the night and cut the tree down. It's a mystery. The country is incensed because it was a local landmark and an important/famous sight that people travelled to see.
@678e31cf OOOh cake! (But I mustn't, I'm diabetic.) I had the coffee and a nice shower, and now I'm back, somewhat rested and needing.... well.... cake. (go on then.)
@Paul. I remember her. But we called our little twig of an apple tree Twiggy when we first planted her in our garden, and the name stuck. Of course she is full grown now.
Phew. I did the garden!!
I picked up all the fallen apples that Twiggy (our naughty apple tree) had dropped, trimmed the bushes and bagged up the clippings. Now I just need a dry day or two to be able to sweep the yard.
And I'm exhausted. I need a shower. But first --- you guessed it, a coffee.
@e48c8769 I once heard myself say something aloud, but I realised I hadn't moved my lips. I hadn't spoken, but I heard my own voice speaking. Odd. I was in bed at the time, though I don't know if I was asleep.
Weird night.
First I was woken up at 2.30 am by the phone ringing. Except it didn't ring.
(I have had this happen before, and also been woken by the doorbell, but the doorbell didn't ring and there was nobody at the door.)
Then abruptly woken again at 5.30 am by something falling onto the hard floor. Except nothing fell and the floor is mostly carpeted. I even got up and wandered around looking to see what had made the noise.
I couldn't get back to sleep so now l am both puzzled and annoyed.
The tree was over 70ft and would have required muscle and specialist equipment to chop down cleanly.
Someone holding a torch would have been needed to know where to cut. That suggests an accomplice.
The Sycamore also appears to have been cleanly sliced at the trunk - leaving behind a smooth stump.
Mike Pratt, chief executive of the Northumberland Wildlife Trust, believes a professional was behind the vandalism.

I just downloaded two youtube videos, a two-part series, and it was information I wanted to have about someone I used to work with, but as much as I wanted to listen, one video was over three and a half hours long and the second part was over four hours long.
I don't have the time or patience to sit there for a day just to gain this information.
I skipped through most of it, but come on, who makes videos this long? It's longer than a movie.
@d776bc84 Absolutely, there is more to this than they are saying. It was a professional felling, and the white paint mark was possibly done beforehand as a marker for later on. Who stood to gain from this? Who had a grudge? It needs more than just an arrest of a 16 year old.
@1db84e73@678e31cf I'm type 2. I try to keep away from sugary things - they actually make me feel bad. I have medication for it, and I'm not on insulin yet thank goodness.
