Hey, so I am running a new incentive for our Bitcoin meetup to have a Bitcoin giveaway every month.
Can anyone in the nostrverse make me a dead simple .APK to side load on my phone so I can automate this sign up sheet and find the winner? I can manually enter the winning number, I don't even need to pull from an API.
Will pay sats.

For some reason I am reading this in a really high nostr:nprofile1qqstm84k2lp9knmvmf5gw88zvfvar7duvfpqfplryfystdn55ug2gksprfmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumn0wd68yurvv438xtnrdaksz9thwden5te0wahhgtnwdaehgu3wwpshyareqyg8wumn8ghj7mn0wd68ytnhd9hx2j8uly5 voice and it really hits 😂
I really like the recent piece by Parker Lewis (read by nostr:nprofile1qqstnem9g6aqv3tw6vqaneftcj06frns56lj9q470gdww228vysz8hqpzemhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuurjd9kkzmpwdejhgqg6waehxw309ahx7um5wghx7unpdenk2urfd3kzuer9wcq3wamnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwvd6hyun9de6zuenedyvu6425) and was thinking about covering it at my next meetup. He also covered it on nostr:nprofile1qqsgt0d4sa0pz0wvn9yck36xxezf3qhwzksu0q254vruqed5wvuavuspzfmhxue69uhhqatjwpkx2urpvuhx2ucpzfmhxue69uhky6t5wd6xzcmt9eshquqpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujumtfde5kymmvwshxjmnxdu4ryj8q with nostr:nprofile1qqsywt6ypu57lxtwj2scdwxnyrl3sry9typcstje65x7rw9a2e5nq8sprpmhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctvqydhwumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnzd96xxmmfdecxzunt9e3k7mgpp4mhxue69uhkummn9ekx7mq9hxafw recently. Might be hard to prep for by this afternoon, but itis top of mind for me so I figured I would mention it.
Good luck!

Oh man, this was a good one. Maybe the topic of my next meetup. Love the idea of refining base layer Bitcoin (ore) into more useful payment options via technology.
I've never thought about Bitcoin value in this way, but it's true. Before you could buy pizza with Bitcoin it has no value, before exchanges it was worth less than a penny...

Lol my kids all save in Bitcoin, but yea even they know that basically no one other than their dad uses Bitcoin... Figured if they started getting lightning vouchers under their pillow it may give a way some trade secrets 😂
I've been thinking a lot about this for a while now and I think that a lot of people struggle with this because the definition of a "progressive" is not well understood and I think a lot of people have wildly different definitions or conceptions about what it means to be a progressive.
Would you mind sharing your concept or definition?
Thanks. I saw that nostr:nprofile1qqsd2s26xy7ns3sllyagc9c0jsdje49xdfw0mwcfxsrfvrmvkvtcf8cpz4mhxue69uhk2er9dchxummnw3ezumrpdejqz9nhwden5te0wfjkccte9ehx7um5wghxyctwvsq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wwa5kuegrwllad also put out a lengthy description of his personal views as well this morning that I found helpful. I think in general bitcoiners who push back the hardest are the ones who know how terrible the government has been historically at "social services" but I don't necessarily think that progressive bitcoiners are endorsing current wealth distribution mechanisms as a perfect system.
My thoughts for better messaging from progressive bitcoiners would be to highlight the problems with current social systems (like broken money and broken incentives), propose actionable solutions and point out how justice and equality are literally just promoting freedom and consistent rules for everyone.
My 2 sats. 🍻

Well, there were $249M in ETF inflows alone yesterday and the price dropped. There has been billions in inflows for the ETFs alone in the last week...
How much do you think they are selling? Kinda seems like coordinated price suppression to me.
Ah good thought to compare inflows to volume. I guess I am underestimating the amount of trading that is actually going on. Still seems crazy to me that so much is coming in on net (at least for the ETFs) without significant price appreciation, but obviously I don't know enough about these market dynamics.
Thanks for your thoughts!
NGL, we'd be literally crushed by the boot of nuclear regulation.
It's actually sickening the amount of over regulation that is going on in nuclear right now (and for the last 50 years). We spend way too much time on our knees in front of the NRC.
Sentiment for nuclear can get as high as ever, but without major reform in the NRC, we'll continue to build 1-2 plants a decade at best.

I'm interviewing for my boss's job this week, not so much because I really want the job but more because none of us are looking forward to the prospect of reporting to someone else who has no clue what we do or how things need to be done.
I'll let y'all know how it goes later on 🍻
The world that is being built on nostr is getting really f-ing exciting. 🔥🔥

Dear ECB,
All fixed assets go up forever against fiat and credit based money that expand indefinitely. You're correct that this makes it harder to acquire these assets over time; however, that is the fault of the infinitely expanding money supply, not the fixed assets. The only cure for this is to stop infinitely expanding the money supply.
Sincerely,
A Paranoid Crypto Anarchist
The personal cost of being a paranoid prepper who lives in a fallout shelter and lives on a stockpile of MREs is incredibly high.
The personal cost of being a paranoid crypto anarchist and keeping your sats in cold storage is basically zero.
Do not trust a bank, exchange or government to hold your sats
Not your keys, not your coins.
I'm also waiting for lightning implementations that close channels to offline keys (single or multi sig). I'd feel a lot more comfortable holding more in lightning channels if I knew my sats ultimately would land in cold storage.
IRL though, there were only extremely selective cases where they raided homes for gold. It was mostly just so they could take all the gold from the banks.
There aren't enough law enforcement agents to ever even come close to go door to door if another 6102 happened.

My wife's phone broke last week. I found a replacement on FB marketplace and I paid the guy in Bitcoin. Now the dude is coming to my next Bitcoin meetup 🔥
