A photograph from the 1993 Great Flood, when James Scott deliberately sabotaged a levee, causing a massive Mississippi River flood to delay his wife’s return home so he could continue partying.
The flood devastated 14,000 acres of farmland, destroyed numerous buildings, and forced the closure of a major bridge.
Scott was convicted of "intentionally causing a catastrophe" and sentenced to life in prison.
However, many believe he was made a scapegoat. https://image.nostr.build/9e467c16763b87161cab8165258b5a001d20b9066220f5e8b2b3c16ce8395a81.jpg
On January 10, 2020, at Colegio Cervantes in Mexico, 11-year-old José Betts changed into an outfit similar to Eric Harris' from the Columbine massacre and confronted his teacher, María Assaf Medina, with guns his grandfather had given him.
He declared, "Hoy va a ser el día" ("Today is going to be the day") before opening fire, killing Medina and injuring six others.
At 8:43 a.m., José took his own life. Despite a troubled home life, he had no prior behavioral issues. https://image.nostr.build/1f138366f2b5e13b779ff29aad03e7359d26de2476812e28d4bccdd730f20350.jpg
China tried to ban #bitcoin and now it's legal to own it.
Russia tried to ban #bitcoin and now it's treated as property.
Brazil tried to ban #bitcoin payments and now they're considering a bitcoin reserve.
Gotta love this game theory.
