The #DnD movie moved up from 10th most popular streaming film last week to 8th most popular streaming film this week.
That makes 17 straight weeks that Honor Among Thieves has been in the top ten.
Little basement dwelling boy-Dave is never going to understand how this happened.
@bb1a99d2 my understanding is that 90%+ of the characters in it are already public domain too.
So I'm a bit unclear as to what rights he thinks he's giving away
Maybe I'm unwell, but when I go to a conference I send every person an individual email rather than a copy-pasta marketing push.
It takes more time and requires decent notes and/or memory.
But it would make a difference to me and I'd rather make a difference to me than save time.
@23e77efc I had one D&D conversation at a disaster recovery convention this week.
They mentioned using a D&D hack for their tabletop exercises called something like "Cubicles and Coworkers." Their suggestion was that the randomness worked really well in a disaster and risk space because no matter how good the plan, there are always unknowns.
The #DnD movie released to streaming in the US 112 days ago. It remains in the top 10 most watched movies in America and has been since day one.
112 days this movie based on nerds rolling dice in basements remains relevant to audiences.
112 days of the absurd humor, dual plots with only one advertised, dragons that are ultimately irrelevant to the story.
It's only #10 this week. It may fade away, but seeing my youth brightly featured in positive light brings huge smiles to my teenage face.
@ec763b13 Jack wants to invent a new federation protocol, that no one else is using.
I doubt he'll join Activity Pub because his goal isn't to federate, but to control federation.
With WordPress, Medium and even Meta exploring AP that's likely the future -- but it's delayed.
