@30a83efa ime, it’s not uncommon for this to be followed by one or more of:
1. I ran the wrong version
2. Build didn’t copy binaries so you ran ‘before’ the refactor
2. You refactored in a way that the old path exist and failed to trigger the refactor path
@810ec5be Ok! I really liked having the ePub of the original version of the book, since it was easily formatted for my phone to read wherever I am without zoom-pan-zoom-pan.
@810ec5be I was wondering if there is an ePub, or Kindle-usable version of the updated Thinking in Swift UI coming? I see theres a PDF, but sometimes those are hard to read compared to an ePub or Kindle-format. If there is, will it be a free update for eBook PDF purchasers?
@5d36f9b1 it can be both! I’m still pausing on going through my dad’s old computer data, and we’re 5 years on from his passing. Thats a… uhhh… process… I’m not mature enough to handle yet.
@096d2c53 I hope apps do the Right Thing™ with video output — with the iPad a surprising number of ‘video’ apps (e.g., they play video as their only purpose) don’t pump the video out exclusively, so you just get screen mirroring.
Maybe the *terrible* experience of the phone-at-4k will encourage apps to do the work for this.
(Prime example F1TV doesn’t do the right thing…)
@80f08b97 there is no upside for the ecosystem:
1. Everyone goes pay with expensive terms
2. Everyone builds weird rails to prevent those terms manifesting in their platform
3. There ends up being less competition resulting in atrophy or (1).
