Another example, this morning we put our dvd of Christmas Vacation on and during the beginning credits the smart tv tells us that our selection is also available through other providers… hmmm 🤔 if we own it, WTF would we need to watch it through a subscription service?
But meshtastic is new and shiny… off-grid texting that doesn’t require a license (at least here in the US)… yeah it’s not a real impressive thing if you compare it to cellular data services, but the fact that it isn’t controlled and people are doing some cool stuff with it from setting up weather stations, using it for security, sending sats, and making digital bulletin boards with it is pretty shiny in my opinion.
Just another fun day in the capital city of Michigan. Watched two homeless guys fight for a corner and then the swat team assault a house… never boring here and glad I live no where near it.
I’m actually live closer to mt. Pleasant, but have been working in Lansing and around it for a long time. I used to work at a fireworks warehouse on the south side of potterville… small world it is 😊

Sounds good, but at the end of the day it’s more government waste of our tax dollars… and even if, big IF, it does cut spending by the govt for the next 4 years, it will be another department that every other administration can dump money into to
