Did anyone succeeded using on android the bitwarden app with start9 vaultwarden?
In Tor browser it works, but in the BitwardenApp, it says "Connection failure"

Usually creatures make free content, and exclusive content for paywall. Or free content + ad revenue. At least this is what you can see in most places. Or even the combination of these.
Thanks! Did you need to do anything special to make it work with orbot? For me it does not seem to work with orbot.
I also had to do some tweeking to make it work via Tor on PC.
Security and privacy is not the same.
You can use VPNs for privacy reasons, and in such case, it makes sense if you pay in a private way.
Otherwise you leak personal data to your VPN providers. And if you want to stay private, it is better to stay private even in front of your VPN provider. Better providers allows it.
Alternative Login Idea:
User name + 3-5 personal questions
Answers to the questions would be concatenated and hashed, and tested against a "valid" hash.

By holding your country's currency, you are supporting your government. This means if they go into war, you support war. If they kill people, you support killing people.
By holding your country's currency, you are accepting the ToS of that money. That means you give your consent to your government to issue new fresh currency, and making the currency at your hand worth less, or worthless.

If something is a default behavior, it does not make it the right behaviour. Also it does not make it political or non-political.
If something is default it does not describe the behaviour itself.

What are your opinions on the following?
1οΈβ£ Use separate profiles
Because apps can communicate via IPCs, without your permission, it makes sense to make profiles for different apps, so they cannot communicate.
2οΈβ£ Owner profile to only install
If you only use the owner profile to only install the apps even play store apps, but you use these apps in other profiles, they won't be able to communicate with playstore and with the google services
Downside: you won't be able to use in-app purchases, you have to use many apps.
Upside: you only have to manage apps in one profile.
Would you change, remove or add anything?

Weird, because their website says you don't have to. You need it to use an alby lightning address with your node, but not mandatory. Or if you use their cloud to host. But haven't tried, so only RTFM
The keyword is "your own machine".
I guess this is enough if you are uncle jim, you know your code, and other's know you, trust you.
But proving code on other machines would be a cool feature! Like proving websites running a certain service version. But that can also be a good target for osint. Hmm.
You can host your own nextcloud instance. I think Start9 has nextcloud in their appstore.
By storing your own data instead of using proprietary cloud like google, they can't harvest your data. Anything you upload to such a cloud can be used by them as per their end user license agreement.
How cool would it be, that everyone had their own servers?
They would just save everything on them owning their own data fully without being a programmer of some sort.
From social media, through their money, until their photos, home videos, and everything.
Start9 is getting there!
Let's make this normal.
Let's make having a server with a nostr relay, lightning node, nextcloud on your private server The Thing. The usualy business.
Like having a social media app on your phone, or having a camera in your phone.

Thanks!
As I see AlbyHub only provides the lightning address, if you use their accounts, which means they can see the payments going through the address.
Is it possible to use your own domain?
With LnBits, you can also make lightning addresses, and you can even use your own domain for it.
You are the reason you are where you are.
In other words, you get the things at the price you deserve.
I think you can think this as something negative, or can understand this as take responsibility for your life.

Every mobile OS shall work like GrapheneOS. Without fuckin' elevated privilege for non-sense.
It is so fucking annoying, when your phone tries to force you to turn on the microphone for a photo.
I mean, I shall be able to make videos even without microphone if I want. It is my phone. It don't need audio, why shall I turn that thing on.

Come on, be more broadminded. BlackRock did not earn enough money with your money. You can go without your money for a few more month. Even BlackRock people needs enough money to put food on the table. π

Why you might want to opt out from data collection?
1οΈβ£ Advertising
Advertising companies are middlemans, collecting data on users, to advertise to them their companies ads. They lock in users by having many companies, and lock in companies by having many users with advertisement profiles.
The more data is collected, the better your profile, easier to sell you things you don't need.
Usually these companies are offering free services in return for showing you ads. But the main issue is, they are earning money by selling you stuff, instead of making their free service better.
That is why, in most cases, after companies get big enough, and unexitable by locking their private and business customers in, they can start to decrease or just don't improve the quality of their service.
In such a case, they are only incentivized to milk you more, because where could you go?
2οΈβ£ Used against you
Your search history may reveal interesting things about you, when you search for something you did not understand, and by grabbing it out of context, it can be used against you.
E.g.: your bag beeps on an airport, and you look for, what these detectors beep for. Then voilΓ‘, grabbing this out of context, why did you look for this info? Do you want to carry something that could beep?
We can even hear stories, where you can get into trouble only by being connected to other bad people. E.g. buying a second hand phone, that was used by a criminal before. (Of course bad is from the perspective of people in control. This definition can also easily change. For the better or worse)
3οΈβ£ Stolen
Colleced data can also be stolen. If 1-1 company stores huge amount of information about you, it even makes it easier, because only they have to be hacked.
Stolen data can be used for identity theft (e.g.: applying for loan and make bad credit for the stolen identity), credit card copying. So basically to stole money with it.
4οΈβ£ Control you
Data collection is the basis of surveillance and control. If lot of your data is collected, it will be easier to predict your behaviour with a bigger accuracy. Therefore, it will be easier to control you.
