It's weird how very many people claiming censorship and suppression of their messages are able to get their messages to me. It's almost as if they have the ability to say what they want and get their messages to me.
Anyhoo, given that, and after a long eyeroll, I may disappear from Nostr again....

I've seen some other people on here speaking against the orange today, and the replies are frequently dripping with misogyny.

Feature request: I would like to be able to click on the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy links on my iPhone.
I can see that there are links as I make the bottom of the Wallet screen appear by holding my finger to the screen as I scroll up, but the moment I try to click a link, I have lifted my finger from the screen, and the links disappear below the fold. It's impossible to visit those links. Please design for all resolutions, including iPhone SE screens (375x667).
A bigger comment: This Wallet screen is baffling to me. It asks for highly sensitive data and does not say why. There is no help, no docs. Somewhat of a worst-case scenario for KYC, trustworthiness, etc.
I will continue to use Primal on the web and hope Primal for the phone gets there. I see the improved design on the phone and remain hopeful!
Primal on the web, I use with my wallet via Alby Chrome extension and it's all good. It's the web app I keep using the most.
Primal iOS also has my wallet "email" address in Settings, but then wants me to fill out what seems to be a KYC form right there prominently in the middle of the app for ... the same wallet? I don't get it. What is happening? Where are the docs? Can I figure this out before the halvening?

From the stats I can find, all the other socials have many more users than Nostr, like 100x or more. Despite the good work of Primal et al, I wonder how much is UI/UX.
Counterpoint. It matters mightily who you vote for. The national debt and money supply is very very important but a transition to a better way might take a long time and that shouldn’t make people think voting doesn’t matter meanwhile. That misguided way of looking at things facilitates corruption, incompetence and other such things.
Hot take: Cashu is not well named for becoming widely used. Lightning is.
Perhaps more significantly, I don’t yet see a non-cringe-named Cashu wallet.
OTOH maybe silly names or appealing to niche audiences is the key to getting off the ground, so what do I know!
I’m hopeful that micropayments will help. It’s not really viable to get 1¢ payments online but small lightning payments are viable. And if spammers and scammers have to pay 10x more to send to a list of 10,000,000 addresses than a list of 1,00,000, that will be a big step.
She gives the impression of always preaching her made-up mind. Maybe that's the best way to be senating these days, maybe not, but it does make me wonder what it takes to introduce thoughts to her before she's made up her mind.
I'm not sure important notices like this should be expected to be released on one social media. The announcement will probably come today at close of market, and I wonder if it won't be announced via many forms or media at once.
It also seems rather craptastic that the Elon Funky Odor doesn't allow best security practices for all accounts.
Hey, a social media that benefits the users sounds great, I said to myself. I hopped on and learned a lot about the smart things going into this platform. And as the year winds down I’m seeing posts about importance of Nostr. So, sure, I concur. But I’m not seeing posts about how to increase adoption. Maybe people want it to stay niche. But if not, here are some ideas. You may not like these or you may not agree, and that’s fine, but I do not see much discussion about why adoption has not gone up like you want it to, so I hope this helps.

Better sign up
Better sign in
Less time making new users figure stuff out
And don't make users select between a list of seemingly random relays with weird names

On a YouTube ad just a few minutes ago, I saw Michael Saylor say he is raffling off 5,000 BTC and 1,000,000 ETH. Just send BTC to the address at this QR code! I was doing some other stuff at the time, so I only realized it was almost certainly a scam after I stopped seeing the very realistic video intro but continued to hear the audio. Very realistic. I can't imagine how it's not a scam. But then again, I can't imagine how it could be so easy to run scams through Google ads. A massive indictment of shame on Google, is my current conclusion.

In any case, seems worry over shares being diluted has been replaced with confidence they will not.
(Share dilution. It’s like inflation but often worse and highly capricious and it sure seems like theft in the way Jeff Booth uses that word.)

It’s up to date on relays, it looks at your relays, it asks you a few preferences and it suggests changes and/or makes changes.
Something easy peasy. I’d use it. And new people will want to not have to know about relays and use a super simple tool instead.
