@0016f986 I don't think these web clients have authentication. They load as a web app in your browser, and you just login to your Mastodon account over API, like any other app.
The trick would be restricting the web client to only connect to the desired Mastodon instance (and maybe including some 'branding' on the landing page so users know where they are).
I'm sure this is possible, but I'm not sure the best way, or recommended, way to do it.
Suppose I wantedto set up an alternative web client like @67fdc248 or @fd168e4a for our Mastodon instance.
I want to set up an instance of the web client, but configured so that it's only for our users to access our instance. How do I do that? I've never seen a good guide or how to do this.

Antisect is playing. Both shows are listed individually on askapunk.net and on the IFO ticket site https://ifomontreal.bigcartel.com
I am not organizing the show. I'm playing Friday though.

I get where you are coming from (frustration with people's covid behaviour) but I don't like the bed big stigma you are putting out here. Bed bugs don't spread by human to human transmission. You can have bed bugs at home and go to a birthday party without spreading bed bugs.
Bed bugs rarely spread by like hitching a ride on clothes to another location. When they do, it's usually only if an infestation is really really bad. And lots of people regularly go into such places (shelter, social workers) without bringing bed bugs home using pretty simple precautions.
So I gotta push back against applying stigma to people dealing with bed bugs at home. It's like unclean diseased (poor) stigma. That's bad. Having bed bugs can really suck and be really distressing, but it's also pretty routine in lots of parts of the world (increasingly I think it's fair to say if you live in city apartments you are gonna get them at least once) and spotting and get rid of them can also be pretty routine if people are well informed. Stigma hinders this.
Maybe the analogy to irresponsible covid behaviour you are looking for is more like people curbing a couch or bed they know has bed bugs, and not labelling it as such, not giving a fuck if someone takes it home with the bugs.
@fc4db4fc
Having done no research into the current situation, I would guess heat. Bed bugs do better in the heat, I think that's often linked to periods of high bed bug activity.
Not sure if "major cities" means global or US, but maybe with rent and housing crunch in many US cities, people are also less likely to move, more willing to move into poorly maintained buildings, etc. More shitty furniture flosting around. That's speculation.

I get what you are saying, but the Taylor Swift thing happening to football is kind of an unprecedented event. Similar things have happened before but her stardom is at such a scale combined with social media/society and fandom... So it's not something that's happened to anything before, and football happens to be the collision.
Full tracks of the 3 e-beat remixes i've done are up if you, like me, want to listen to a 5 minute 185bpm version of Again by Physique on repeat.

Midi Captain is triggering scenes on Ableton with drums and samples.
@df313fdb@990694db basically anything. It's fully programmable in every way seemingly. I just got it but so far it's great. If you use any MIDI you'd probably have a great time with it. I use it to control Ableton.
@f8bdd76b like a closed Mastodon instance, that doesn't federate, that you pay for. Which is maybe fine if you really like the 'curation' of who is there. My impression is that the people running it really don't want to be bad capitalists, but are also effectively running a start up based on generous funding that will run out. Eventually they will either run out of money, or they will sell out. Either way it won't end nicely. I also dont really know what the crowd is on there but I also gather it's a lot of people who are doing capitalism but really want to pretend they arnt (small makers, people who sell stuff they make/art/their writing) which is kind of a turn off for me. I could be wrong though! But I'm much more interested in putting my energy into this place (which has ample room and potential for people who wanna promoter their little hustles and such!).

The national art gallery is really big and cool. Worth going for the permanent collection, tons of contemporary art and classic. If you don't wanna pay, I still like like going to see the sculpture "Maman" that is outside it. One of my faves. Otherwise I second all to recommendations already made.

There's this thing called mail.
(I'm a courier, and we deliver physical drives for film industry, back and forth every day, and there's a good reason for it!)
