@7c5693ac now that I've been cursed to think about this all morning: I think that punk/hardcore have already kinda been through the ringer in this regard, and has both "not survived" (in terms of streaming/algorithmic social media making everything a flaming pile of trash) and has also "survived" (I am involved in a thriving diy punk/hardcore scene). Not saying a swiftuation wouldn't polarize that dynamic to an extent we probably can't imagine, but still, I think its basically already happened.
