@3967703f I am in my 50s and I have a doctorate, and I still wonder where the adults are. You know, the ones who know what they’re doing? The adultier adults? Then I realize (again) that everyone is just improvising and hoping it works. The adults I looked up to were also hoping the real adults would take over and fix things. Adulthood is just a fantasy we are all telling ourselves, seems like. 

 @d1abe022 @de5cda1d It’s not even that we want to. It’s that we don’t have a choice about unearthing them, because they’re so bloody obvious to us, and it’s impossible to believe that other people don’t see it too.
