 @d1abe022 @de5cda1d I genuinely think this is our adaptive benefit to the species. Imagine, if all other things being equal (ie: no giant tech advantage) communities that valued and engaged with such detailed and through yet non-personal critiques would almost certainly out-compete groups that ignored such a valuable perspective.
I've seen a number of sources claim that people who would've been spiritual leaders in indigenous cultures often end up pathologised in western medicalism
