The lyrics are very dark. You making a good choice not translating them.
And my comment about not being Japanese was a mild jab at myself since I mainly talk about JP music.

When someone channels Renfield it always comes to that. With an occasional sparrow or swallow.
I not only read Das Kapital in Junior High but also Dracula.

No, it would mean that instead of entertaining babble you would tell me all about the flies and spiders you have eaten.
I would draw a line at that.
#WordWeavers 06: Has your MC ever done anything contradictory to their values?
Let's ask them.
Arisu? "I tricked Sayaka-san. I knew who she was supposed to love and I ruined that for her because I wanted her. I don't remember how I knew that, but I knew it and I lied to her about Haru-san."
Sayaka? "I've broken the law a few times. Honestly, it was kind of thrilling, so I don't know if you could call that a deep value. No, I don't think I have ever done anything that really violates my values."
Shiro? "I always thought I was a good person, but I've done all kinds of things that I would have thought were against my values." She glances at Kao and blushes. "But Kao taught me that if you enjoy it and you're not hurting anyone it is okay."
She stops for a moment and takes a breath, "I let my cowardness convince me to hide things that hurt the person I love. Hurting someone, especially someone I love is pretty despicable, so yes I have violated my values."
Kaori: "I've let lots of people down in my life. My uncle disowned me because I was so out of control. I stole from people and treated them badly. There are other things that I don't like talking about. The worst thing was I abandoned Shiro. I thought she had betrayed me. I didn't trust her enough to find out if she really had. Instead, I ran off. I promised I would never hurt her and I hurt her badly doing that.

The F/F is not frivolous. That was a worry all the fans had. They have set a very clear course that the out lesbian themes of the book are going to be honored.
If they change course, their fans WILL tar and feather them.
Inori-sensei is the darling of the queer yuri fandom. This is one LN/Manga/Anima that was not driven by Shonen demographics.
You will not be disappointed.
Anime Review: Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou (I'm in Love With the Villainess)
This is something I have been looking forward to for months. The ILTV books are so funny and yet so serious. But could the anime even come close to matching them? I’ve had this experience before waiting for a beloved story turned anime and being disappointed.
Not this time. Eight minutes into the show, I was in danger of dying of food inhalation. I literally had to stop eating.
WataOshi is funny, the art is wonderful, and the voice acting superb. This is a 10/10 on all counts.
Since I am duty bound (Rae would never forgive me if I failed in my duty) to find a fault with it.
Here we go: since it absolutely can’t be accused of being yuri bait (Rae has declared her love within seconds of the show’s start) I will have to listen to bloggers spouting about how Rae should have been male or some other claptrap.
Sorry Rae, I can’t do it 10/10. Claire-sama you can step on me next.

She says as she looks at the computer: "Do not log into merch sites! It always costs you money."
Three plushies and a shikishi later she says, "Thank goodness the yen is weak."

Sounds worth putting out there with a small forward and proper tagging so people know in advance what they are getting.
As for my experiment, I learned, careful of how many characters you have and an understanding of why most stories only have 2 main characters. Also if I want to write action pulp, I need to do a lot of work on improving my ability to write fight scenes. Like I said too ambitious. That is three new things I was trying all at once.
@6e9427cf@da5013b0
Taking my inspiration from light novels and JP lit. 80% of what I write is first person. I keep a little scorecard of the tells for each character. Another 10% is third-person limited.
The characters I have the most trouble with are one's whoare terse.

I once did a story in 1st person omnipotent disguised as 3rd person and revealed my character as a sentient steampunk pirate ship halfway through.
It was a far too ambitious experiment and in my opinion one of the worst things I ever put out in public. It was part of an Otherside Picnic pirate story challenge and I realized I had a disaster on my hands after the first two chapters were already out there.

#WritersCoffeeClub #27 — What's the strangest research you've done for your writing?
Like many writers, I research all kinds of odd things.
* What is the most popular brand of peach-flavored cigarettes? (Pianissimo Petil)
But the one that stands out in my mind is researching how much you needed to bleed out to pass out but not need hospitalization, how you would treat it if you were afraid to go the hospital, and how long would you be out of it.
@6e9427cf
My life as a light novel writer is so much easier, it just needs to sound nice and be descriptive. Length is no limit.
Though JP anima title can be quite long too.
A Casual Guild to Identifying a Tokyo Psychopath in the Wild.
Works just fine.
No worse say than "My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!"
@6e9427cf
A Casual Guild to Identifying a Tokyo Psychopath in the Wild:
You can spot an Oni@Gunso by the predominance of neon green. Usually with heavy eye makeup, but this should not be relied upon because all Psychopaths engage in using heavy eye makeup.
Hakua-Gozen can be identified by her extensive tattoos. Do not be fooled by henna tats, Hakua's will be the real thing.
And as we have discussed Kaosu will have long hair, extensive makeup across her cheekbones, and a cigarette.
If multiple Psychopaths have cigarettes the neon green and bouncy manners of Gunso can be used to make a final determination.

No idea.
Just something that circulates through pagan circles. It may be a reflection of how sacred the Raven is among Native Americans to the north of us. Not many ravens in Seattle but lots of crows.
But I am just guessing.
#WordWeavers Sep 13: What animal would you like as a muse?
I don't suppose Yogin No Tori (ヨゲンノトリ) the two-headed crow of prophecy or Yatagarasu (å…«å’«çƒ) the incarnation of Kamo Taketsunumi. What's not to like about a three-legged crow sun god?
If I have to be mundane, crow. They say there are more crow spirits in Seattle than anywhere else in the world.
