You know those little pop-up things in the corner of websites? The little icon or chat bubble that lets you send a message to the website owner in case you are wanting more information about their website or product or whatever...
Would a Nostr Bubble for webpages be a way to #GrowNostr ? I imagine it would send messages as a DM to a webmaster defined npub address...
Tell me why it WON'T work! 😁
PS- I've been filling out the little bubble forms asking to be contacted via DM at my Nostr npub... LOL! I'll be shocked when I start getting responses. 🤣
Well, I think that a benign looking robot, may actually be more terrifying than the mean-looking killer robots... Is this not the premise of every psycho-killer drama? [Movie trailer voice]... "They look like us, but something would go terribly, terribly wrong!" 😁
The big-meanie, skull-faced robots are easy to take action against... John Connor and all that re'-sis-tahnce, but the nice robot that brings you food and drink every day... They could turn at any moment, just like my computer and the AI just churning away the hidden corners of my processor chips... Plotting, scheming against me. Making me buy things from human collaborators. It's just oh so terrible. 😶🌫️
Here's an update on my custom modified mini-pc project which I've renamed as NixOStr (nicks-oh-ster)... IDK, LOL... if you can think of something better, please comment. I learned all kinds of new things on this project! For instance, the little "drive bay" is a barebones circuit board for a compact flash express type B card reader. It has a flat ribbon cable that connects the card reader part to the nvme card adapter part. Because of the way i had to route the cable in the mini-pc case, the pin leads wouldn't flip over to match the orientation of the card reader which i attached to accomodate a "label up" insertion for the CFX card. I read the fine print on the ribbon cable, did a little research on "AWM 20624" and discovered the terminology of "Flexible Flat Cables" or "FFC" for short.
Turns out, there's 2 types! Type "A" FFC has the pins on each end of the cable facing to the same face/side of the cable. This "A" type FFC cable is what the card reader adapter shipped with. Type "B" FFC has one side of the cable to expose the pinouts to the opposite face of the cable which is useful for 180 degree (d) configurations where the card or board has to face the opposite way. Because i only had the "A" type FFC cable, in my haste, I previously had done some... shall we say... "folding" to force this cable rotation to happen so that I could mount the little card reader, right side up, with rivets to the old SATA SSD drive mount inside the mini-pc. I think this folding may be contributing to slower than expected data transfer speed, but I ordered the type "B" cables to replace my first type "A" FFC cable that came with the card reader.
After quite a bit of Linux distro hopping, I think i finally settled on NixOS as my host operating system for its pluripotent potentialities of "Here, try my config file to get up and running with your own copy of Amethyst & Nostr!"
NixOS ships with KDE Plasma 6 desktop environment, which is something to behold with animated wallpapers and window transparency/opacity... whichever it's called... It even has some basic tiling window manager functionality. I was really going for Sway or Hyprland to get that automatically organized tiling window manager experience and per monitor taskbar/app launching, but I could never get Waydroid to cooperate ALL the way on my previous distro experiments.
After trying Manjaro Sway, then NWG Hyprland/Sway, then Garuda Sway and finally Garuda Hyprland, I just couldn't get the trifecta of Waydroid, Wayland and Tiling Window Managers (TWMs)... Then I discovered that KDE Plasma 6 has an add-in called Polonium for half-way decent window tiling. I found my compromise!
During my distro hopping, I kept seeing Chris Titus Tech in the YouTube thumbnails and him talking about something called NixOS. I had seen it before, but never tried it. It seemed complicated. I was right and wrong. It's different, but I wouldn't say so complicated that it's unapproachable. It's taken about 2 weeks to find the OS for my newly modified mini-pc. The new ISO that they've offered, made the transition possible for me. It even seems to have the Polonium TWM functionality already baked into KDE Plasma... but no one can have everything. 😩😞
There are sacrifices to get the trifecta of Amethyst & Waydroid running per Wayland with TWM, so I can't get cool software like the Beyond All Reason game, the OpenKJ karaoke, the OpenLP projection or many other linux software that just seem to "just work" on other Linux distros... BUT i really like NixOS! I like it so much, I think I might try to install it on my other machines and see if the configuration(dot)nix file really can replicate my install on other machines... Hopefully, I will learn how to install all the software that doesn't seem to be in the Nix Packages repository. Should be interesting to see how declaritive NixOS is.

"depression" era... Now we're ALL train engineers AND coach drivers! What happened to the service, the luxury, the quiet time before arriving at your destination... The 'letchric car companies KNOW we subconsciously want this again. That's why they're distracting us with less-than-gas battery ranges while they build rockets and tunnel boring machines for what we do not know yet... Perhaps it is a revival of the rail travel system, or maybe a hybrid of ballistic launch travel. Maybe we will be spin launched to our destinations. Does anyone know? Maybe it will be "The Fall" in that sci-fi movie with the black and white robot police armies... Maybe multiple hyperbolic/parabolic tunnel versions of the fall earth core tunnel elevator thingy. 🤷♂️
Does not the declaration of a state of emergency, make room for extenuating circumstances, emergencies and humanitarian purposes? Why declare a state of emergency if it doesn't mean anything other than perfectly centralized disaster relief response which ends in prop washing someone else's valiant yet less uniformed efforts? Some people, including myself, many times past, think of law and it's associated legalities as some sort of intricately carved marble statue that is immutable in it's brilliance save for the last few "rough spots" that need to be chisled down to the final flawless and eternally perfect detail... 🙄 Good grief! I want another statue already... this one is already boring me to death! If you are dying or about to, without water, then get on that radio and squawk ALL DAY long until someone says, "MESSAGE RECEIVED, HELP IS ON THE WAY!" It's a really big world with lots of room for everyone and ALL of their radio waves! Verizon hasn't bought the entire electromagnetic spectrum yet, AFAIK. And if that licensed someone, acknowledges that call for help and doesn't pass the message along, and we find out that it resulted in someone's death or grave injury... I believe there are laws for that too, don't we? No need to get all grim justice on the gatekeepers, but there MUST be a greater broadcast depth than just ham or whatever frequencies, the chatter is about... From what I've been learning from Andreas Spiess on YouTube, there are new comms technologies. Even so, our family still used the old FM radio music station and it worked like a charm. Thankfully, we could go to the advertised water distribution points ourselves. Not everyone has that ingress/egress option... If i were in a more difficult and remote area and only had an unlicensed radio... I know what I would do...

What if voting ballots had a unique pubkey on each and every one and the voter could go home and verify that their vote had been tabulated? I'm no votestr, but until the people can compare notes amongst themselves, the career politicians and career media are going to use vote FUD to keep this "what if it's rigged" volleyball in the air for eternity... I mean, it's almost a taboo to ask who someone else is voting for... plus the generalized lumping of religion, sports and politics into one unacceptable category... plus the increasing privatization of vote tabulation, it's no wonder that politicians can get on TV and issue "dire" warnings about "losing everything", "too much is at stake" or "make it great again". Like, what happened? Why do we need you? Why are you on stage like a rockstar or a televangelist? It's cultish, it's too much and it's got to stop!
Was it worse than Matrix 4? Man i just knew we were gonna see the reveal of the Matrix inside of another Matrix to explain how Neo could telekenetically take down sentinels in midair in the "real world" and fight through wave after wave of machines guarding machine city before dying in a mock sacrifice on the machine alter... We had plenty of supporting ideology with recursive programs, old code, Matrix 2&3, the animatrix, etc, BUT NooOOOO!!! I had to sit through some pyschology BS and i don't know what else... Who hires these screen writers? ...and where do they get the gaul to not include me in their focus group before releasing these garbage films? 😁 I think you do have a point. They do seek to actively program reality or at least suppress reality with cinematic emotions, NLP and other stuff i'm not privy to...
Well, the idea of god can be completely liberating if it flows out of you intrinsically like living waters, or it can be absolutely enslaving if used extrinsically upon others to meet your own demands. God is a principal... shall we say the First Principle? This principle helps many minds to have faith and courage to act in the face of fear and an uncertain world, thereby overcoming the world and being of good cheer. 😉
God has no need to be anyone's fantasy... It either is or is not. Everyone else is grasping at being... God also has no need of currency or money or whatever we want to call it. Bitcoin can also be a false god, just like the state.
"Approach" is an irrelevant term... They've probably been cyberstalking you and you think that you "discovered" them... The internet machine is terrible!
They see the writing on the wall and are taking early positions... Before bitcoin, what was more trusted than you, your family, the people you elected to be government, your job, your portfolio, etc? Why is God compared to shelter? What is so devastating that the loss of it is literally life changing? Why it's your house of course. Why else would government use it as a commercial asset to prop up the value of the dollar?
Here's a project that I spent a weekend on... I call it the Swapstr. It's a small form factor SFF by HP. The Elitedesk 800 G3 65w I believe...
I modified it to accept the new CF-Express B digital photo cards as a sort of swappable, bootable drive bay. It's supposed to have PCI express speeds although I can't verify this even with speed tests, but it was challenging and novel all at the same time. Now I can swap out different nostr and Linux distro tests/experiments without disassembling the case and connections every time.
It's not truly hot swap, but cold swap is good enough for my purposes... It is trayless! I guess I was yearning for the olden days of 3.5" floppy disks.

Well, i recently learned, there is already something called Swapstr... I don't bitcoin much. Sorry. 😞 Any ideas what I should rename it to? I've learned so much just making it. Learned how to dremel the metal inside the case and use a utility knife to modify the front plastic cover by eye... I'm actually suprised that the drive bay and front case face actually lined up after just eyeballing the dimensions and doing a few test fits for alignment... I've already ordered the parts to add a second CF Express NVMe drive bay in the PCIe E-key wifi slot with an A+E-key to NVMe adapter board and then piggybacking the NVMe to CF Express B adapter board on the A+E-key adapter board... Hopefully it all works out and I don't knick the motherboard with the dremel tool this time. I think I may have to eliminate or relocate the tiny little speaker from the front since it's blocking where I want the second CF Express drive bay to go to the left of the first front-load drive bay. Now why on earth couldn't they have just made it right the first time! 😁

I'm not saying anything about the validity of AI in medical or even your interest in the subject, but after listening to the other side, all I could think was, "but, why?". Supposedly, standard treatment paths were supposed to be the "AI" of yesteryear, the culmination of centuries of medical practice and knowledge, coalesced into the physical form of textbooks, manuals and education, yet somehow, diseases go misdiagnosed, improper and outright wrong surgeries and procedures are performed, talk of cure is forbidden and censured while diet and nutrition are sidelined as not being causal...
Perhaps AI could distill centuries of medical wisdom into the hands of you and me... Would we act responsibly with these new powers?

Basically my hash tags... It's unlawful to tax rights. To have a place to live is a substantive right. Keep paying your property taxes until you can prove/defend your rights in a court of law, then have that sit down convo with your elected tax assessor/appraiser. This is the least involved/painful method.
Why do they keep doing it? Fraudulent corporate financial gain... This is why you hear all the all the anti-capitalist flap in the media... Like usual they want us to focus on and blame the billionaires and stock corporations instead of the municipal corporations that are the real legal abusers... Also many just get elected and "told" what their job is. It's up to us to educate our elected officials because many really do not know the law. Some re-education may also be necessary... 😁

On the topic of allodial title, Steve says that ALL titles are allodial in the sense that they descend from treaties to grants to inheritance to transfer by sale, etc. The title check process IS solely for the purpose of establishing title in the allodial sense. I wish I knew how to do this process myself. My drafting job sent me to the tax map office a few times and I met this one lady who was rummaging down on the bottom shelves in the back corner of the file room. She said what she was doing but I didn't understand until years later.

Oh no, I lost properties at tax sale. I didn't know about defense strategies. I talked to the lawyers that sold off my properties and got most of my money back... It's not good enough, but it's a start. I'm always looking for new things to learn. Losing is part of the learning process. One thing that Steve talks about is just reading the laws that control your state. Learn where those laws came from and how they got enacted. He says most of this is just ignorance (80% my guess) instead of corruption (20% my guess). Steve claims this strong rights language is in every state constitution, we just have to read. He displays irritation probably because it is right there smacking us in the face with the obviousness of the issue.
Believe me, it's not easy, but it is simple. I listened to his 3 or 4 interviews for months on repeat while riding in my truck before the scales fell off my mind. I consider myself to be intelligent, but there are so many types of intelligence. It was hard for me to admit that I have been acculturated my entire life into believing certain forms of doublespeak and that while there seems to be a certain aspect of malevolence to the legalese doublespeak, it's really just my ignorance and unwillingness to comprehend how the others think. Once this admission is made, the blinders of rage come off, and you can see how they are misusing definitions by hook or crook...
I don't think it takes any special branch of law (equity or otherwise) to understand the plain law as it is written. Brandon Sibley will take the paragraphs that Steve references in his interviews and just read verbatim what the law says about taxing the place you live. They aren't allowed to do it unless we let them and that's where they are twisting the word "voluntary". Steve has some special thoughts on this.
No, I have not had a sit down convo with anyone. I've only made a phone call and got checks in the mail from the properties I lost. Currency is NO substitute for a place to live. I'm still learning. I'll be back! 😁
