 This is how it is in Japan. Homes don’t keep value - in fact most people demolish them when they take over the land and build a new house - ya know - to live in. 

Real estate is mostly an investment for cash flow and commercial is a bit different if you happen to have a great location.

 They see the writing on the wall and are taking early positions... Before bitcoin, what was more trusted than you, your family, the people you elected to be government, your job, your portfolio, etc?  Why is God compared to shelter?  What is so devastating that the loss of it is literally life changing?  Why it's your house of course.  Why else would government use it as a commercial asset to prop up the value of the dollar?
