Well, the idea of god can be completely liberating if it flows out of you intrinsically like living waters, or it can be absolutely enslaving if used extrinsically upon others to meet your own demands.  God is a principal... shall we say the First Principle?  This principle helps many minds to have faith and courage to act in the face of fear and an uncertain world, thereby overcoming the world and being of good cheer. 😉 

 It is not up to us to decide who can or can not receive the spirit of God, we can only show them Gos's spirit within us. If we go about forcing our beliefs on others, we should question ourselves as to which god we are serving.
