nostr.build has always added 100% of any profits or additional sats received to our Bitcoin strategic reserve.
We only sell for fiat when needed to pay some bills, other bills we pay in Bitcoin.
We have never sold a sat for profit. nostr.build does not keep any savings or reserves in fiat and neither @The Fishcake🐶🐾 nor @Bob2 have taken any kind of paycheck, disbursement or sold nostr.build sats.
Some providers are offering a free iPhone16 with return of old iPhone (att).. very fiat but worth it if your phone is about to die.
I literally glued mine back together with Amazon parts and they traded it in!
Lost one of my friends I’ve had for 20+ years, we don’t talk anymore.. Long story but basically, during the pandemic I snapped and started mass buying bitcoin, telling my group of friends every time I purchased. This one friend kept nagging, ‘I’m a bitcoin OG, owned it back in Silk Road days, it’s going to $10k..’. Ok sure but I’m still buying. Then after rising, ‘it’s going to $19k, you’ll lose your money’ OK I’m still buying. For whatever reason it really pissed him off. Even after the pop to $69k and drop to $16k he would say, ‘going to $10k, I’ll wait for that’. And then after growing anger and nagging he exploded telling me how how he wished I lose all my savings, how he would still go to my funeral, how he went to a better school than me, and finally, how I was a lesser person than him… Blocked him and never talked to him again. I never once insulted, made fun of or put him down, just told him I was buying bitcoin.
We don’t do anything to the video, so it’s some combination of OS, browser, etc.. Apple once had a proRes version that only worked with certain iOS phones..

We are thinking to limit adult media uploads only to account holders, no free porn uploads, to better prevent and filter illegal content/csam. Thoughts?
We are OK with legal adult content, but are facing two big issues as a media hosting service;
- Legal liability when hosting adult content (what is legal in what countries, actual ages, verification, acts, etc. and
- CSAM filtering, is a lot easier to keep that smut off of nb servers..
I am not sure if our removal and reporting is actually helping the children, we hope so, but the bottom line is we don’t want that on nostr.build.
We would only filter obvious, adult pornographic material. We’ll never touch political ads or anything else and proudly host related content that others don’t. As long as it’s legal. Our #1 target is csam.
The protocol is uncensorable but the servers using it are. If anything happened to nostr.build there are many other options people can use to post media including self hosting.
I really don’t see similar legal issues in the future, although some people might be getting in trouble for political memes, it is totally different than illegal adult content.
I’m separating the nostr.build personality from the nostr.build product!
From now on I’ll only post nostr.build related info on this npub.

I’m sincerely excited about RFK’s goal to make America healthy. I really hope he does something. America has some of the the worst food and eating habits in the world..
I dunno, hard to trust any media these days. There were a ton of hits against him when he ran.. I’ll read it, but still feel he will do more for our health than the last decades of administrations..
I think first just by calling it out is already huge. Nobody in government has ever really called-out America’s food and health issues…
There are many US ‘foods’ that are illegal in other countries. Maybe we fix those?
Breakup with the fast-food and processed food lobbyists. No, Cheerios is not more healthy than bacon and eggs.
Let’s see, but even if little is done, it is a lot more than before.
