Prometheus surprised me, it was fresh air despite being an alien prequel.
Alien: Romulus disappointed me, same old formula, human on ship, alien enters ship, alien breeds, alien chases human, human kills alien.
The European Union is the consequence of the German defeat in World War II.
The European Union was created to subjugate above all Germany to the interests of the Anglo-Saxon world.
While the United States embraces Bitcoin, Europe rejects it, think why.
In neo-communism (current democratic system) it is difficult to draw the line or discern between state and big capital (corporations and central banks).
All work in unison, an example is Blackrock whose largest shareholder is Vanguard and Vanguard whose largest shareholder is Blackrock.
At the same time the major shareholders of large companies such as Apple, Amazon, Nvidia, Microsoft, etc. are Blackrock and Vanguard.
On the other hand Blackrock and Vanguard have power groups that pressure governments to legislate and regulate in their favor avoiding among other things competition and free market.
And finally, we have the central banks that through the printing of money and in collaboration with the states make the worker lose purchasing power using the CPI tool (not linked to real inflation).
All this conglomerate that I call neo-communism has only one goal, and that is to keep the masses on the verge of poverty in order to subjugate them and make them sufficiently productive for the achievement of their interests without killing them.
The vice of power has no limits.
This is a total declaration of war by the ECB towards Bitcoin, this is totally ridiculous and demonstrates the moral character of the European Union.
Evolution always comes first, it is natural law, this logic applied by the ECB is totally anti-evolutionary and will lead to the demise of the European Union. Wanting to deny the natural law of the first is pure and simple communism and discourages any entrepreneurship.
That we Bitcoiners are stealing wealth from others? That we bitcoiners will provoke social division? Those who cause social division are you murderous buracrats who create wars, those who steal are you communist bureaucrats with your abusive taxes.
The only thing that is happening is that people are stopping using your fake money, Bitcoin is no longer a child's game, this moment I knew it would come, now it's time to be men, firm men, men with honor, men of conviction, it's time to fight for our dignity.
European Bitcoiners, this is war.

In Italy they have just imposed a 42% tax on Bitcoin, now they publish this paper, everything seems to be coordinated to try to destroy Bitcoin through regulation and taxes.
by @tuur
This new paper is a true declaration of war: the ECB claims that early #bitcoin adopters steal economic value from latecomers. I strongly believe authorities will use this luddite argument to enact harsh taxes or bans. Check 🧵 for why:
https://m.primal.net/Laim.png
Rather than praising bitcoin as a tech paradigm shift à la petroleum and the internet, the authors introduce the blatantly luddite argument that "early adopters" ... "increase their real wealth and consumption" ... "at the expense of [latecomers]".
https://m.primal.net/Lain.png
Then they go on to brazenly advocate for legislation ... "to prevent bitcoin prices from rising or to see bitcoin disappear altogether" in order to prevent "the division of society".
https://m.primal.net/Laio.png
The authors also model some projections, to illustrate the paltry amount of BTC that will remain available for latecomers. (Woe is me! Conspicuously left out is the reason that has driven 15 years of bitcoin adoption & development: it's simply better tech.)
https://m.primal.net/Laiq.png
In all the years I've been monitoring the bitcoin space, this is by far the most aggressive paper to come from authorities. The gloves are off. It's clear that these central bank economists now see bitcoin as an existential threat, to be attacked with any means possible.
Many of us have warned that this was coming: bitcoin as a major political fault line both in national and international elections. Well here it is. It means that us HODLers must take action to insure that governments respect our basic right to hold property.
And no, this won't be a war between haves and have-nots. Rather this will be a historic clash between those who stand for the natural rights of the individual, and those who clutch at the failed ideologies of collectivism and central planning.
Here's the download link to the paper: "The distributional consequences of Bitcoin". (We need detailed rebuttals. Who's writing one?)

This week the entries in the US ETFs have been more than 30000 Bitcoins, but the dynamics remain the same, that is, globally, we have barely moved and we are around 1.1 million Bitcoins held by the ETFs. What is happening is a relocation from one ETF to another.

Fascists are communists at the national level, communists are communists at the international level, Western democracies are communists at the interplanetary level.
So much in common.
Fascism = communism = democracy
I don't know why you guys are fighting, deep down they are the same, they just want people's money.
When you find out that taxes were lower in the USSR than in Western democracies you might start to question things.
Democracy is just a label, if you think that by putting a piece of paper in a ballot box every 4 years you are free, you have a serious cognitive problem.

Very interesting article about the state of Linux security.
While I agree with what it says, I don't agree that Windows is going in the right direction, because the mitigations that windows introduces are useless as long as they don't break backward compatibility.
Windows has a basic problem, an architecture problem mainly due to the binary backward compatibility which makes security problems dragging and difficult to fix.
On the other hand, if you need extreme security and privacy, use Qubes OS.

You feel better saying this...remember this, never make fun of other people's misfortune, or justify gratuitous violence, life takes many turns and is very hard.
Maybe one day you will be in the Palestinians' shoes.

And here, more of the same.
You don't know the difference between terrorist and innocent townspeople.
If we compare in numbers the people killed by the terrorists compared to the people killed by the terrorists of the Israeli state, October 7 was nothing.
Monero is still sold on many exchanges operating in Europe. If you sell Monero on an exchange they can tell.
Bitcoin the same.
If you do it p2p they can't know.

A "diversified" crypto Portfolio is fine, as long as you are 70% in BTC.
The other 30% will eventually go to zero, but your BTC will save you.
And charging for simply making jumps... samourai were undoubtedly geniuses at marketing and fooling people, they were undoubtedly experts at it.

-Bitrefill, you can buy tickets for Amazon, supermarkets, gasoline, clothes, leisure, travel, and a long etc.
-Xapo Bank, with your card I can buy anything I want without going through fiat.
By the way, get a life, you're a fucking pain in the ass, I don't even know why I'm answering you, you're a fucking troll.

The only larper here is you.
I use all the tools I have at my hand, also bisq and robosats, plus many more of those mentioned.
Besides I don't have to justify myself to anyone, I have simply shown two very easy ways to use bitcoin.
It works fine, you simply load your account with bitcoin and use the card. I use it mostly to travel and forget about it.
Otherwise it is much better bitrefill as it is all without kyc and in most products or do not charge commission or even have discount.
You just blew me away, I have no notification but indeed the next renewal is $1000.
I am going to cancel it tomorrow :(
Thank you so much for the heads up you saved me some money.
There is my position on states and all their possible forms of organization, so if you ever see me saying that one state is better than another or giving an opinion on historical facts, it does not mean that I am in favor of statism, it means that if I have no choice I would rather shoot myself in the knee than shoot myself in the head and that history has to be told as objectively as possible not as your favorite state wants it to be.

We do not live in a world of good guys and bad guys, we live in a world of states and slaves.
The bad guys are always the states, the states create wars, the common man does not create wars.
The state steals, extorts and murders. It doesn't matter if the state is politically right or left wing, all states do the same thing, throughout past, present and future history.
The only difference is that whoever wins the war rewrites history and makes you believe that the losing state is the bad one, but both are bad.
Bitcoin is not going to solve the problem of states because people will continue to vote and be part of the system, and monarchies and dictatorships will continue to exist, but perhaps we can take away much of the funding and thereby save many lives.

I wasn't invited to shake hands with Hitler, but I wasn't invited to the White House to shake hands with the president either.”

Having seen the answers to this note I see that you have not visited the UAE where the majority of the population is foreign, more than 80%, where you are not forced to follow any religion, where there is security in the streets, where there is economic freedom and above all progress and where you are not treated like a criminal for using bitcoin.
Arab Emirates (especially dubai and abu dabhi) is a stone's throw from Europe, the only precaution is not to mess with the monarchy.
Ask yourselves why it is becoming one of the financial centers of the world.
If you think that because European regimes put democracy on a piece of paper it is democracy?
Democracy has only existed in ancient Greece.
Travel more.

I only put it as a counterexample to western democracies where you pay many taxes and few services, taking into account that both in Dubai and Abi Dhabi the natives receive subsidies from oil dividends, something unthinkable in a western democracy.
With respect to me it is a climate that I do not tolerate, it is the worst thing I see that limits you in many aspects of life.
Is it better to have a democracy where they take more than 50% of what you earn, like Germany, or is it better to have a dictatorship like Abu Dhabi where they take 10%?

I have not been there as a tourist, I have been there for work.
As for the working conditions of the people who work in construction, it is not slavery as they sell it, I also see it in Europe, they are just underpaid.
In Europe, especially in the southern countries, the same thing happens with the people who work in the fields, the seasonal workers.
The natives receive government subsidies from oil dividends, which you will not see in any western democracy, as well as other assistance such as housing, health care, etc., with practically no taxes.
The local community is only 15%, they are the only ones who receive subsidies, it must be understood that the oil is theirs, not the foreigners', their country, their rules.
Foreigners with a labor contract have full medical assistance included.
The b-side is the Pakistani construction workers who have none of this although it is something that has been mitigated quite a bit.
