Are there any actually meaningful transactions (exchanges) taking place yet using the #lightningnetwork ? Everything I've seen so far involves tipping, or throwing money at each other volontarily. Like is anyone selling goods, subscriptions & things using sats?
more nostr users means more hodlers (i.e. people who actually see the point of keeping bitcoin) hence long-term steady growth and less price volatility #grownostr #hodl
& @NVK more bitcoiners sure, but nostr (and it's most attractive clients lke @primal) is definitely plagued by an overemphasis on Bitcoin. The protocol itself and its visionary principles could be a great source of attraction for FOSS types and the Twitter braindrain more generally (most of whom are still adrift I might add). Creatives who could be greatly benefitting from the lightning system are turned off by the goopy ai-art-adjacent UIs & the upfront emphasis on Bitcoin which is an immediate buzzkill and will remain despite a bullish Bitcoin imo. This amazing Bitcoin use case should (and will) come downstream from nostr adoption.
Does Nostr propose a solution to the scraping and exploitation of human-made creative content by LLMs? Does it propose a system of recognition (perhaps like references in research)? Since Chatgpt I've felt hesitent to blog elaborately and thoughtfully, thinking I'm just feeding the machine. How does nostr respond to this?
playing with different clients and noticing key features in some and not others! 1. emoji reactions in Freeform but not in primal? 2. feed control in primal seems better for discovery whereas freeform curates only from those you follow? 3. what else..
