Can’t get your loved ones to read the Bitcoin standard?
Try sticking something in their ear holes.
We narrate a foundational course on the history of money and why wage earners should consider Bitcoin.
We look at equities, bonds, real estate and gold and critically assess their pros and cons in an environment of fiat currency.
And finally we deliver the orange pill.

Nostr worth thread:
Alright, confession time: I live in a climate where “room temperature” means “tropical sauna.” And all I want in life is to be one of those people who casually leaves their butter out on the counter, living the dream of perfectly spreadable toast. 🧈🥲
But no. Here, if I try to let my butter “soften up,” I end up with what can only be described as a butter-flavored Slip ’N Slide, dripping across my countertop, like some greasy tribute to modern art.
I mean, I see those Pinterest kitchens with cute little butter dishes on display, and I think, why not me? Why shouldn’t I also live a soft-butter life? So, in a moment of reckless optimism, I tried it — just left my butter out like some carefree influencer.
Fast forward 20 minutes, and my kitchen looked like it’d been slimed by a melting butter sculpture. It wasn’t some dreamy “spreadable masterpiece” — it was a shimmering, oily puddle that looked eerily like the floor of my local pub after karaoke night.
The butter didn’t even try to hold its shape. It just… surrendered.
And let me tell you, cleaning up melted butter is a unique form of suffering. You go in with a paper towel, and the butter just spreads, smearing like it’s taking a final stand against kitchen hygiene. By the end, my countertop was so slippery, it was like trying to mop up an oil spill on an ice rink.
So now, I’m back to keeping my butter in the fridge, resigned to the frigid block life. Every morning, I chisel at it like I’m forging a sword, hoping not to crack my toast in half. It’s like trying to butter toast with a frozen stick of deodorant, and let’s just say it’s not the gentle breakfast experience I dream of.
To those of you who can leave your butter out year-round, in climates where it’s never in danger of becoming the Exxon Valdez of condiments, I salute you. 🫡 You have no idea how good you’ve got it. So next time you’re casually gliding that flawless curl of butter onto toast, just know that someone out here in the tropics is shaking their fist at a greasy countertop and a rock-hard butter block colder than an eskimo’s nipples during a bath.
Man I just read this and got all excited to download it on my start9 implementation only to relive the sadness of having to pack up my node last week. Why god why!!!!!
😢😭
Just orange pilled my Uber driver. No NGU, no mention of returns, no CAGR or moon-math…..
Just how it is improving the efficiencies and economics of energy grids.
Help me shape our on the road podcast next year.
- wifey and I sit down and talk about our travels, what we did, where we went.
- run through our activities
- chat through challenges and learning with travel-schooling
- kids chime in with their
- what they did
- what they liked
- what they didn’t like
- what they learned
- chat about how we are funding our travels. The hustle(s). Bitcoin as the enabler of our optionality
- once a month interview someone inspiring and their hustle. Just ordinary people doing extraordinary things to hustle and find extra income streams.
What else would you be interested in hearing about from a family of 4 spending a year on the road travel-schooling 2 young boys aged 8 and 11.
Finally what should we call this pod?
🤣😂
🤢🤢🤢
Footstr is fucking disgusting.
I saw things no human should have to see once, let alone a timeline filled with all your manky, gnarly, fungi-filled, disfigured appendages….
🤮 🤮🤮
We have 2 beautiful, smart, whitty funny little boys.
My wife desperately wanted more. A little girl to round out the family.
I always said no because I didn’t think we could afford it.
I worried about sacrificing too much to provide for another.
I worried about schooling, I worried about travel, I worried about having an affordable and comfortable lifestyle for all of us.
I had a fiat mindset, because I didn’t know any different.
I didn’t realise there was a solution that would enable everything we wanted through hard work and time preference.
Now, I fear we have left it too late to safely go after what we want due to age.
Fiat robbed me and my family of something truly beautiful and I will never forgive or forget.
Sing along:
Hello liquidity my old friend….
It’s time to pump my bags again…
Because the money starts to flow freely…
They print it out of thin air daily
And the assets are first to see these flows, and everyone knows
Wage earners get fucked….through inflation…
I just watched Margin Call for the first time while on a flight.
I had never before experienced such a feeling of the inevitably of the plane crashing.
I feel deeply disturbed right now.
The really scary thing is you know this sort of shit goes on each and every day, that there is another inevitable cataclysmic event on the horizon and that 99% of people have no fucking clue what’s coming.
Brave for impact……

Remember when your government stopped you taking your kid to the cafe to have a milkshake, because you didn’t want to take a trial medical procedure with significant evidence to suggest it was neither safe nor effective?
Yeah those were fun times.
In my citadel I’ll have an openly available learning environment where I’ll teach anyone who wants to learn about electronics, microcontrollers, servos, circuits, building guitar effects pedals, robotics, electrical theory and engineering.
I’ll also hold guitar lessons and then I’ll play at the community bbq @Brisket'S place on Friday nights.
What will I find in your citadel?
Over 1/3 of my time was robbed from me last year. They call it tax.
This was even after the legitimate and legal deductions I made within the framework of their system.
I still get a letter saying I claim “more than is usual for a person of my employment and they will be watching my returns closely this year” and “I better have all my receipts ready”.
Criminals.
I’ve read a lot of investing books, I lost count around the 60 mark…
And I’ve got to say, one of the best books I ever read was circa 2019 for me and it was written by none other than @preston
It was called the Warren Buffet Accounting Book. It was one of the most comprehensive books to lay out a value investing framework aswell as the authors best estimate on what Discounted Cash Flow model the great investor Warren Buffet may deploy when valuing a stock.
@preston rarely talks about his books but having written a book myself, I deeply respect the hustle this gentleman has put into everything he touches. He taught me much more about myself than he taught me about investing.
It was this DCF modelling that eventually lead me to realise just how drastically overvalued EVERYTHING was and what ultimately lead me down the rabbit hole to learn about money.
Forever grateful to you sir.
Needless to say my new hurdle rate is much higher than the “risk free rate of return” I was comparing against in 2019. Onwards
Those man boobs still haunt my dreams. As I’ve gotten older and settling into my dad bod, those man boobs are my mental check to try and keep my shit tighter than I once did.
NOSTR might be the final incentive to read posts before hitting send.
No edit, no delete. Not good for someone who can barely string a sentence together.
And remember, grammar and punctuation is important folks…
It’s the difference between helping your uncle, Jack, off a horse, and helping your uncle jack off a horse.
The world is waking up every where you look.
In every issue from forever wars to the food pyramid to our money.
Incentives matter and we discover perverse incentives each and every day.
It is fucking glorious and I am here for it.
Just picked up a new rig for picking up gigs on the road.
A Yamaha stagepas 1k.
Set it up today and had a strum. Impressive bit of kit. In fact I like it better then my old rig (msr400s) and think I might be able to ditch my xr12 mixer too. I’ll probably downsize my pedal board too.
Even better, it actually fits under the kids bunk bed in the van.
Income stream #1 sorted with life-in-the-road
Happy Father’s Day to all the Aussie dads out there.
The hustle is noticed and appreciated by all those around you.
It’s traditionally our job to provide and to protect. Society is bastardising masculinity and downplaying the role of strong men in the family unit. To them I say “fuck you”.
We work hard, we provide and we protect and to me there is no finer duty or purpose. It is what I was put on this earth to do.
Who would be interested in following our little families travel plans and travel-schooling journey here on NOSTR?
We will be pulling our 2 x boys out of school for 2025. Year 6 (11) and year 3 (8).
7 months full time on the road, travel schooling travelling g to coast of Australia.
Then a further 5months living out of the van while I return to the fiat mines temporality) l.
Happy to document and share the journey exclusively on NOSTR if enough are interested.
Just enrolled the kids in this curriculum for next year.
https://euka.edu.au/
Fully flexible based off Australia Curriculum. From the research we (read:wifey) did this gives us a nice framework to make sure we are ticking off a few boxes while giving us the flexibility to opt into and out of the parts of the curriculum that either don’t resonate with us, can otherwise be covered off or whatever justification we can think of.
Can’t wait to start this journey with the kids on the road, I’m really looking forward to having the time to be involved in their learning
H/t @Princey
Not necessarily mate. But these guys will actually formulate your learning plan paperwork to the HEU and term reporting for an additional fee. But they do lay out all the lesson planning and learning outcomes. You can essentially do all the work samples and ignore everything else.
Very reasonably priced
Sometimes I like to do some simple calculations and let my mind explode as to what wealth and abundance I’ve been able to create for my family.
E.g if you managed to stack 0.5BTC you are in the richest 42,000,000 in the entire world. There will never be and can never be more people with more Bitcoin.
A finitely scarce monetary asset that is seeing global adoption each and every day.
All you have to do is HODL while it absorbs the monetary premium of every other asset and every other good.
Sit back and let abundance flourish
