Maar er zijn ook veel onafhankelijke slecht vindbare websites. Met unieke gegevens, soms 100.000en namen.

Usually microblog apps would have a translation button for each message. That is helpful, should something appear in your timeline that you dont understand.
Having translation for everything, even where i dont need it, feels intrusive and it annoyed me. Maybe my problem is that i can read Dutch English German and French. So in many cases i dont need translations at all.
The problem is that you cannot turn it off. I am forced to read everything in English, which means my own messages in Dutch get translated as well. Or i can put the app in Dutch, where my own messages get mistaken for Afrikaans as soon as i am being just a tiny bit creative.
Make translation optional, and it would be fine.
The automatic translation sucks so bad that it mistook my Dutch for Afrikaans and turned it into a ridiculous word salad. Shame, because it renders the app absolutely useless.

Probeert #Openvibe uit.
Een app waarmee je kunt inloggen op zowel #Mastodon, #Bluesky en #Nostr. In de toekomst ook #Threads.
Het gave is dat die netwerken gecombineerd worden in één tijdlijn.
Een heel interessante manier om met de versnippering van het #fediverse om te gaan.

I'm actually worried that people who would read my Dutch messages through the automatic translation feature of #Amethyst will see the word salad that I saw before I removed the app.
Looking for a good #Nostr #client for #Android.
So far tried #Snort (using that to write this message, looks good), #Amethyst (absolutely useless because of ridiculous automatic translation feature that cannot be turned off) and Openvibe (nicely puts Nostr, Mastodon and Bluesky in a single timeline.
Which one should i try next?
