There's probably more innovation going on in the Linux desktop world now than during any time in ...
@680c7aa8 i totally agree.. ..it's fun to test other distros in VMs or on test PCs, but #debian is my number one choice for my primary workstation and thinkpads
finally watched Clerks III.. ..way more of an emotional roller coaster than i expected.. ..really makes you think about how fast time goes by.. ..and Kevin Smith's voice-over comments at the end of the credits was the perfect way to tie a bow on the whole thing
 #nowPlaying Static-X

..not gonna lie, i kinda slept on the "Cult of Static" album.. ..it's way better than i remember

i tuned the #Thunderbird #CSS a bit for when using dark mode and the Dark Reader extension..

..userContent.css normalizes text and blockquotes for plain text, sets message body width to 80 characters, etc.
https://git.sr.ht/~e33io/dotfiles/tree/master/item/misc/Thunderbird/chrome/userContent.css

..userChrome.css fixes info bar warnings, unselected UI tabs, calendar sidebars, etc.

@74178bce it's done on their end, but not across all other servers/CDNs
Okay, so now I've tried Tutanota and Proton for an alternative to Gmail.

I like neither.

@74178bce how long ago did you set the DNS records? ..even though DNS propagation usually happens within an hour or two, it can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate

@91b7098b @30064259 yes, but that's where Flatpak comes in handy for specific apps you need the latest version of.. ..i'm not a power-user, so older software works fine for my use-case
@91b7098b @30064259 ..plus, i still prefer to use vanilla debian (stable) with i3wm on my primary workstation, so there might be some other aspects of LinuxMint and the Cinnamon DE that i'm missing update-wise, etc.

@30064259 no drawbacks that i can see.. ..mainline Mint might have better Nvidia drivers, but i have an AMD card so i can't speak to that aspect
 testing #LinuxMint #LMDE 6

..this is so good they should just go ahead and drop using #Ubuntu as the base

i've been using #sourcehut for 2 weeks now, and it's great.. ..i know the web view of git repos doesn't [really] matter, but i really dig the minimalism of sourcehut
