 @30064259 no drawbacks that i can see.. ..mainline Mint might have better Nvidia drivers, but i have an AMD card so i can't speak to that aspect

 @a7c6e794 @30064259 But won't sw (deb) generally be of older release versions in LMDE than in LinuxMint, especially the farther away we come from this Debian release date?

 @91b7098b @30064259 yes, but that's where Flatpak comes in handy for specific apps you need the latest version of.. ..i'm not a power-user, so older software works fine for my use-case

 @91b7098b @30064259 ..plus, i still prefer to use vanilla debian (stable) with i3wm on my primary workstation, so there might be some other aspects of LinuxMint and the Cinnamon DE that i'm missing update-wise, etc.
