“Non-smokers who avoided sun exposure had a life expectancy similar to smokers in the highest sun exposure group, indicating that avoidance of sun exposure is a risk factor for death of a similar magnitude as smoking.”
This is in a Swedish population. Not exactly dark-skinned equatorial people.
Checkmate, dermatologists.

Traditional medical wisdom tells us to wake up about 45 minutes before the sunrise.
It does not say wake up at 6AM or 7AM.
The sunrise changes by season.
Resist the change in your schedule imposed by daylight savings.
Live by the Sun.
Officially started publishing as I learn from my deep dive into Avicenna's 5-volume compendium:
The Canon of Medicine - The Law of Natural Healing
As someone who's been in the modern medical paradigm for a decade, this has been for more informative than I ever imagined.

What if cancer is the few remaining fully competent cells remaining in a truly diseased organ, that are trying to escape the mothership?
These cells are growing irrespective of the rest of the organ, eventually escaping (metastasis), and de-differentiating to the point that they don't have just 2 copies of our DNA.
They have way more.
Cancer is cells escaping from a truly diseased environment.
The final frontier of organ disease.
Maybe this is related to the desire to escape earth and start something new?
Traditional medicine was the original decentralized medicine. Allopathic medicine (MDs) is centralized. @DrJackKruse
One of the general differences can be seen in its trust and humility.
Traditional medicine has humility, and knows that life is far more sophisticated and omniscient than we give it credit it for.
So, its practice defers to the wisdom of the body and merely supports the body's needs.
You can call it a trust in the emergent wisdom of the body by interplay of many complex factors.
This is fundamentally a trust in a decentralized framework.
Whereas, allopathic medicine tends to mistrust the body and overestimates its power.
This leads to a tendency to interfere with what the body is trying to accomplish. It knows better.
So it cuts out body parts, irradiates and poisons, interfere with protein function, or disrupts the microbiome.
This is arrogance.
And it is no wonder it exists in a centralized paradigm.
The centralization happens at many scales.
Infectious disease is at the level of the organism.
General medicine broadly focuses at organs.
Endocrinologists, for example, focus on cellular communication.
Geneticists on nucleic acids.
Each silo'd and centralized itself.
This centralization gives rise to an attack vector on the practice.
For example, a charlatan may learn a few things, pretending to be a doctor.
But does the same thing for every patient - e.g. bloodletting done wrong.
Whereas the decentralized traditionalist knows that every technique has its place, and so uses bloodletting sparingly and selectively.
One's making money.
The other is practicing medicine.
Traditional medicine was the original decentralized medicine.
When I was young, the goal was to become a doctor - not an MD.
Now, after many years in this field and a lifetime of continued learning.
Still, the goal is to be a doctor.
Not an MD.
Time has revealed who was a reliable source of information re:covid and who wasn't.
There are many people whom I respect that were wrong about almost all of it.
I do not begrudge those who had no experience in the related fields to tell right from wrong.
My gripe is not with you.
But, those of you who should've known better...
...such as doctors, clinical researchers, academics, libertarians, constitutional lawyers.
You have proven worthless when shit hits the fan.
And many of you are smart enough to know better.
For you, it's even worse.
You were either paid off or scared.
Prostitutes or cowards.
It's easy to blame "lifestyle" and "environment" as the cause of people's illnesses.
Don't get me wrong, it is true.
Most of our health is downstream to our choices.
But, our choices are downstream to something else.
Something more pernicious, and harder to see.
We have been lied to about what we are, how we work, and what our role in the universe is.
The healthcare revolution cannot be without a spiritual awakening.
I asked one of the most esteemed neuropathologists at an Ivy academic medical center:
"What if we have glioblastoma (brain cancer) all wrong?
We believe that tumors start small and grow outward.
What if the diseased state of the nervous system is converging on a point that we then see as 'tumor' at a particular location in the brain?"
His answer shocked all of his colleagues and trainees:
"I've never been asked that question before, and now that I think of it...I don't know how we can claim it is one or the other."
Centralized medicine is spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on brain cancer treatment and research...cutting out large chunks of peoples' brains...
and we haven't even answered this most basic question.
In my opinion, the whole of society has been oversold and under-delivered on the utility and value of vaccines.
Including:
The public who pay (thru tax) for the research, development, and administration of vaccines.
The doctors who are indoctrinated to administer them.
And, the people who are expected to take them at increasing frequency.
All of this seems plausible when you consider the types of entities that stand to profit from their mandated and widespread adoption.
A criminal history to rival any.
With immunity from legal persecution.
You are completely within sound mind to question this blatant invasion into our lives.
You'd be crazy not to.
If you improve your health by making changes to your lifestyle, you will no longer be heavily dependent on your health insurance policy.
Very likely through your employer.
Which means you remove an element of power your employer may have over the decisions you make for yourself.
What if you could implement a couple of changes to your routine, hit them consistently, and improve your health at least as much as any prescription drug is doing.
The best part?
You save money on the drug.
And, no side effects.
This is what I'm interested in.
This is decentralized health.
Recognize you are an entire body, surrounded by an entire environment which exists on many more dimensions than you can see, or hear, or smell, or touch.
And by hitting all of them, with small improvements here and there, you get the same benefit across your entire body.
Because some of the most common and worst illnesses and costs to life and society are heavily modulated by improvements in all sorts of modalities.
Including heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, cancer...even osteoporosis.
You want to tell me one prescription drug is going to hit all of these things simultaneously?
Without proportionate increase in side effects and cost?
These days prescriptions drugs are designed to target one metric or abstraction.
Which means you gotta take many of them.
This is one of the lowest yield approaches to improving most people's health.
Chronic disease is the manifestation of consistently poor decision making.
And people are offended by that, because it is a judgment on their daily routine, and fundamentally their character or disposition.
You don't make 1 decision to get chronic disease.
You are constantly repeating at least one mistake.
Others are constantly repeating many mistakes.
Let's assume for a second that mainstream medicine is correct: that there are diseases in which the body does something that harms itself.
You think you are going go to war against your body?
You think you are going to win?
You think there will be no collateral damage?
Fools.
At this point in fatherhood, I've realized that the rate at which my child learns is limited by how much I expect them to understand.
The more I believe in him, the faster he learns.
If I had to articulate a moral principle to underlie an ethical framework for doctors (and indeed any other humans), it would be this:
Strive to walk the path of the Holy, rather than play god.
The circulatory system is a hyper-dynamic and infinitely complex interplay of Newtonian biomechanical factors, organ function, electrophysiology, and light signaling.
It's time to re-build our understanding of blood flow, blood pressure, and cardiovascular disease.
https://www.remnantmd.com/p/understanding-blood-flow-and-pressure
The more we try to insulate ourselves from nature, the sicker we get.
Everything from the clothes and skin-products we wear, to the houses we live in, to the urban atmosphere we create...insulates us from nature.
The food we eat. The water we drink. The air we breathe. The electromagnetism we bathe in.
All synthetic.
All detach us from nature.
With chronic disease at all time highs.
Serotonin is made from Tryptophan.
The photoexcitation of the indole ring of Tryptophan is the initiating step in the production of Serotonin.
In plants & animals.
Blue light is the most potent in exciting Tryptophan into this pathway.
Get your mid-day Sun.
Boost mood. Boost health.
To understand the shortcomings of modern medicine, you first need to understand the shortcomings of tools that are used every day.
For example, most clinicians will order X-rays or CTs because they think it provides some window to the truth.
What they don't appreciate is that these are simply projections, with several layers of data processing.
In the case of x-ray/CT, we use high-energy beams to communicate with atoms.
This communication consists of interactions with orbital electrons, which have characteristic absorption/emission spectra.
This spectrum is then translated into density, which is normalized to the density of pure water at standard temperature and pressure. This standard value is 0 (zero) Houndsfield Units (HU).
Everything else in the body is displayed in relation to this density, above zero (soft-tissue, bone, metal) and below zero (fat, air).
This density metric is then transformed onto a digital monitor, and adjusted to be perceived by the human eye; which has a non-linear perception of light density/grayscale.
And we haven't even yet discussed the fact that living systems are dynamic, and almost all imaging is static.
Momentary snapshots in time.
As you can see, there are far more to this than simply "looking into the body."
And at every level, there are limits.
What if by artificially reducing the intensity of the pain, you prolong it.
Then, it manifests in ways you are not aware of.
Not all pain is physical.
Feel your pain.
Let it have its moment.
People think radiology provides ground truth information about the state of the body.
This is not true for many reasons.
The most important to realize is that any given imaging modality communicates with the body along one field/medium.
E.g. ultrasound conveys information using sound (acoustics) as the medium of exchange.
Xray or CT conveys information using electron emissions.
MRI conveys information using quantum spin magnetization.
This is true with every mode of diagnostics.
The body and mind exist, and thus, communicate along many dimensions.
But, we only survey this information using a narrow selection.
For those of you who read my Substack, I just published my first audio post.
Akin to a monologue, but I suspect may be the beginnings of a podcast.
There's tons of interesting people I want to exchange ideas with.
Would really appreciate feedback - about anything. Whether it's audio quality or equipment, content, pace, etc.
Much love.

For quite some time I've been thinking about what is going on in this digital alternative medicine space, and what my role would be in it.
I've come to the conclusion that I am in the business of formulating stories and distributing belief.
One of the reasons why the current medical establishment continues to enjoy majority market share is because the people, by and large, believe in the framework of health and disease that corporate medicine is selling.
More than that, it is the de facto framework against which alternative hypotheses are considered.
The media and schools help support this.
By propagating the ideas nested in the modern corporate paradigm, the institutions cement these ideas as the de facto belief system about health and disease.
Which means radicals like myself, are always swimming upstream, so to speak.
For each statement I make about an aspect of health, I have to spend another 3-5 statements unpacking what people have been propagandized to believe.
So what am I doing out here?
Truthfully, I don't really want to sell you a supplement.
I've spent my academic time (both pre and post-Substack) trying to understand several different disciplines and ways of looking at the body & disease.
Because if you truly believe some of the principles I discuss, then your operating manual for navigating health changes drastically.
And, that's enough for me.
I'm weaving a story.
That's it.
We should be more focused on health of the brain involved in emotion regulation, cardiorespiratory function, feeding regulation, threat analysis, balance, posture, & instinct.
Far too concerned with higher cognitive function, and complex pattern recognition.
Our obsession with higher cognitive function, ie. complex pattern recognition, has come at the cost of adaptability and longevity provided by functions of the basal ganglia & brainstem.
Not that we should have none of either, just in a proportion that isn't manifest in health decay.
My wife recently delivered our second child at home, naturally.
Something she taught me, that seems to stand in contrast to the typical masculine motif:
Get your mind out of the way, and let the body do its thing.
Something we can all learn from.
Clinical Trial Scams 101:
Assess symptom severity: e.g. 1-12 points
Batch scores into groups of 4, e.g. scores 1-4 = group 1
If person moves from severity of 9 to 8, they move from group 4 to group 3.
Report as 25% reduction in arbitrary group score.
But only 8% in severity.
At some point during the transition into large-scale education, medical school and licensing exams went from testing your knowledge to telling you what to know.
Students and doctors mostly memorize correct answers.
These people weren't bred to think for themselves.
Modern mainstream medicine was not built "on the shoulders of giants."
No.
It killed the giants, harvested its organs, and sold it for profit.
This is #fiat medicine.
Everybody and their grandmother is being prescribed statins to lower cholesterol because "LDL = bad"
Ever wonder, just how much risk is being reduced by this highly mitochondrial poison we call statins?
In a meta-analysis of 18 clinical trials (which typically look at the highest risk patients with pretty bad cardiovascular disease), all cause mortality was reduced by 0.8%
That's it.
New-onset diabetes with statin use has been observed in about 10% of people who have taken it for a few years.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8922205/
Why is 'muscle pain' the most commonly reported and recognized side-effect?
Because it is the only one you can really FEEL.
I believe that most of the damage statins do to the body, you don't really 'feel.'
Not acutely.
Most of the damage is slow, low-grade, and insidious.
Exercising while taking statins can be dangerous.
Increase energy needs of your body whilst simultaneously suppressing the energy-generating machinery?
Unfortunately, this is the recommendation from most physicians to "reduce risk"
Recipe for disaster.
Any doctor who blindly encouraged, pressured, or coerced you into getting the covid vaccine does not deserve your trust.
Simply because this behavior reflects a lack of critical thinking and presence of mind.
You don't want a doctor who practices from a place of fear.
Shoes.
Coats.
Chairs.
Beds.
In the name of comfort & ergonomics, the more these things do for your body, the less your body has to do for itself.
Ultimately, this makes you less resilient.
Buyer beware.

Agreed on the health benefit of naturally and healthily raised beef.
However, I am curious if you've compared the cost ratio to equally well raised pastured eggs.
I view eggs as one of the healthiest things you can eat, and when sourced direct from farm can be very cheap.
e.g. found a local goat farm that sells their pastured eggs for $3/dozen
Top tip:
If you are worried about coronary artery disease it is far more useful to have a coronary CT angiogram done. Noninvasive, simple iV contrast bolus image.
Conventional angiography is far too risky and not worth the diagnostic yield in people who are asymptomatic.
Non contrast CT (aka imaging done to estimate CAC) is incomplete because non-calcified atherosclerotc plaques exist (if jot this majority in younger adults).
Is it possible that the least harmful source of food is one which shares the most similarities with your own environment?
If the food is nurtured in an environment relatively alien to you, it is adapted to unfamiliar parameters.
This food is most likely to perturb your body.
Cancer is a metabolic disease heavily impacted by your environment.
Exhibit A: Impact of water on gene expression by different concentrations of Deuterium
This is water changing gene EXPRESSION, not random mutations.

Mammals evolved across millennia in the natural world.
Every decision you make that removes the evolved wisdom of your being from any dimension of this world will lead to disease.
You have the power.
Choose wisely.
Friendly reminder that the more you remove your body and mind from a natural environment, the more dis-ease you will experience.
Then, your doctor will try to blame it on genes and prescribe a medication that will only make things worse.
An Ode to Cholesterol
Cholesterol gets a bad reputation.
We dislike it because we find it caking the walls of our arteries.
We blame it for shortening our lives.
It is important to remember the function it serves.
It is patching up all the damage you are doing to your body.
Where inflammation and tissue damage go, cholesterol follows.
It is part of the healing process.
The next time you want to throw shade,
remember what your blood vessel would look like without it.
Inflamed, leaking, and throwing clots.
You'd stroke out in no time.
Improve your habits, and thank your cholesterol for keeping you alive.
Providing "alternative" approaches to healthcare is a lifestyle hack for doctors.
There is a natural filter.
Patients seeking alternative approaches are often tired of corporate medicine, and take initiative in caring for their body.
Much less pill-popping, simple fix seekers.
One of the more disgusting experiences during my training was a mandatory "lesson" in which a corporate shill tried to convince us that patients are "customers."
Patients are not customers.
Medicine is a spiritual calling.
Corporatism is at the core of the rot.
Department chair just hinted that more covid booster mandates may be in the pipeline for healthcare workers.
These hospitals have not learned their lesson.
The self-appointed 'educated' elite have a critical failure.
They believe that
from knowledge
you can derive
the Truth.
The Truth is not understood by the mind.
