When I was a small child I went to see a panto in Blackpool which stared the Chucklehounds (this is before chucklebrothers). 
After the panto kids were allowed to go have a photo with Chucklehounds. .. I was a very small child (3-4), and thought they were real dogs. I went up on stage all excited to meet them. 
One of the Chucklehounds picked me up, his hands like iron talons, and plonked me on his knee for a photo. The dog squeezed my little Ben arms so much I had bruises for a week. I was screaming in pain, tears streaming down my Ben cheeks. I looked up at the dogs face. Inside the dogs mouth I could see Barry Chuckles sweaty moustachio face smiling manicaly looking down at me.
I thought this was a lovely gentle dog off the tele! Now it was a violent child beating dog that had a human inside it.

We have nwc support, but Vlad Stan has also been working on a reverse funding source, that just has a direct websocket connection from the local machine to lnbits, as its usually on clearnet. That'll work very well.
We actually have a big client we are working with at the moment, and for legal stuff they have to run the funding source locally, so need nwc/reverse funding source.

Fees going to functionaries is decentralised. 
Liquids federation is one of the best that has ever existed, many millions went into this process (custom hw, geographically seperate - because that's what needs to happen for a federation to work). 
Liquid is far less vulnerable to governments, its cryptographically has proof of reserves, ecash does not, so is producing currency - a crime govs hate above all others.

On the swaps liquid is a blockchain, but yeah swaps are an excellent obfuscation tool.
