you're right, bitcoin's biggest feature is the ability to move and launder fiat money without the prying eyes of regulators and law enforcement. disabling this feature would be catastrophic for bitcoin.

The article starts of with grandiose exaggerations that aren't backed up by facts. Bitcoin hasn't transformed anything nor has it invented digital funds transfers. It's really terrible as a transactional currency and what gives bitcoin its value is the fact that another person could come along and buy at a higher price. It's not a digital gold because gold is an actual commodity with physical properties and those physical properties are what gives gold its value as a precious metal.
