Controversy aside I don’t get the appeal. I don’t need more clutter in my house, and I don’t need work people knowing I’m a bitcoiner by displaying the clock in the background of video calls.

When was the last time Bitcoin was down for maintenance?

But it’s interesting to see how things play out. Last cycle ethereum amplified the pumps and dumps of Bitcoin. Bitcoin was up 2%, ETH was up 6%. Bitcoin was down 1%, ethereum was down 5%. But now ethereum just follow along for the ride calmly. 

 Bull market over. $10k incoming. /s

 I do wish I could convince her to allocate a small portion of her savings to Bitcoin ETFs, even 5%, but some things are just not meant to be. 

I actually don’t remember ever telling her about my Bitcoin holdings. Haha

 These articles miss the mark. Same for the articles on El Salvador, they all refer to Bitcoin as a “Bet”. “Their bet paid off”. 

Yes, it’s a bet if you only invest in Bitcoin for 2 months and try to time the market. Or if you are a day trader.

But if you HODL there’s nothing remotely close to a “bet” in holding Bitcoin. 

That’s why I find the 200WMA chart so powerful. Everyone that held Bitcoin for 4 years or more is in the green. Not much of a gamble if you zoom out to remove the noise …

 It would be unlikely to be broken, at least this cycle. Right now the 200WMA is at about 40k. It’s unlikely that the average price will be lower than 40k in the next 4 years. 

That’s not to say that the 4 year average price will always go up. I’m sure one day there will be a 4 year long bear market which will break the up trend, but I don’t think it will be anytime soon! 

 Well, technically wine is a juice, so … 😅 

 How do you feel about IRL Bitcoin events and meetup? 

 That’s appealing and appalling at the same time! 

 Price in the 90s was short lived, but it will be back soon enough!! 

 I am not sure. Most ETF investors don’t have a hodling mentality. Any sell offs in the market will be amplified by the ETFs. 

When the average investor will want to de-risk their investments, there will be a mass exodus in the Bitcoin ETFs which will drive prices down. 

 Plus I hope you are right as 85% drops are great buying opportunities. 😅

 I don’t know if Bitcoin will go high enough this cycle, but I can’t wait to have enough money to pay off my mortgage. 

 Yeah. With low interest rates it’s a fair point. But if history repeats itself between the peak of this cycle and the start of the uptrend of the next cycle I should have 18-24mo to replenish my bags. But it’s hard to predict the future! 😅

 For your phone it doesn’t really matter as much as you shouldn’t have more than a handful of dollars, so whether it’s a custodial or non custodial wallet it doesn’t matter as much. 

As far as I know most wallets supporting Lightning and zaps are custodial. 

 I don’t think materialism is dead. Most “normies” are still pretty much living that lifestyle.

 That’s a good idea. I get the comments  that said “if they are new they will lose it don’t give them sats or bitcoin”, which is probably the case. They might lose it. 

But they have to start somewhere and losing a few days is not a big deal. It’s not like I’d give them a full bitcoin! lol 

 You should run indoor ads so that other companies can’t collect data while your ads are up!
